Hi there, recently decided I want to make Jango Feet after my boyfriend got me the helmet for my birthday, so far I only have that and the guns. Still need alot of stuff and I think I want to make the vest but not sure how and if I want to use vinyl or stretch pvc, whatever I can find I guess. Anyways

So I was looking into where to find the utility belt and I found this amazing looking one on amazon. Not sure if anyone else has seen this before but I do want to be 501st approvable so looking to see if this would pass? It looks great to me like I said but again just want to be sure

You'll want to compare it to the CRL on the 501st website here http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:BH_jangofett

One incorrect thing I can see just from the amazon photo is that your amazon belt has 8 pouches and Jango's belt only has 7 pouches. I don't know if that belt is made to be able to remove individual pouches or not.

But definitely consult the linked CRL (for all the parts, not just the belt), that is what your local garrison GML will refer to in order to approve your suit for the 501st.

After reading the listing closer, the sale is only for the pouches and no belt is included. Plus the description lists it as a Boba Fett pouches so they may skew more towards the look of Boba's pouches than Jango's.

The colors look almost the same to Jango's if anything maybe some small tweaks but ultimately I think it looks great for what it is! Even after comparing it to the CRL photo
 
The flaps on the amazon pouches are very square in shape, the ones shown on the CRL photo are much more rounded. Whether that's enough to be rejected, I don't know. I'm not a Jango expert by any means.
 
I would choose something else for Jango. It resembles a Jango Fett ammo belt, but it is far from screen accurate.


I am going to sound kind of like a jerk here but the fact that you think that belt looks like the one in the CRLs tells me you should probably research more before buying. That belt would be fine for a custom mando or something but if you want to achieve a screen accurate Jango Fett I would advise against that belt.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk or elitist but you will probably want to immediately upgrade if you buy a pleather belt.

I mean ultimately I said it looked great for what it was, hence why I came here to ask!
I'll definitely research farther for better means of a more accurate belt, just wanted some opinions here
