Yet another ESB paint job

Alright Jon, the lid is looking great, cant wait to see it.

Hopefully i will be at the club night next month, got to book time off work to be able to go though, to busy taggin people you see..LOL

Are you using an airbrush for this lid?

Hiya FS...
I believe Jon had used an airbrush for most of the paint applications.. but the details he shall be going topical.. ;)

Jon will step in if I'm wrong?

Started laying down the silver and grey on the mandibles. Its not all done yet but its getting there. I decided to top up the weathering (ie odd bits of red) at the end.

Purple next :)

The mandibles are just about there. Not 100% screen acurate and the right mandibles got messed up a bit, but I'm happy them it s far :)

The SE helmet is ESB no? Its also good to see slight variations on the colours, I'll have to look at TF's list if (when) I do another ESB (y)

Kill stripes and one of the back panels

and i have yet to do all the proper weathering :(

the weathering one the left hand ear platform went a little wrong but i think i'll live with it

Go easy though Jon! I don't want you to rub off all the detail and blame me! LOL
I used a 0000 grade wool which works just right, i think you'll find the texture (especially on the red) will smooth off and the colours deepen slightly. The red on my mandibles lost its pink hue when i did this, and you can even buff to a slight sheen with a soft cloth if you need to...

Almost done. I still have to add the emblems and a bit more weathering. I also semi fitted the visor just for the pics
