*UPDATE 2013* WIP : Jayvee's 'lil' chunk of ROTJ love' paint up

Hi mate - the full list is actually in the very first post. How much of each paint can be dependent on compressor pressure, weather, thinner mixing, how much colour testing you are doing etc. As a general rule, i tend to find 3 tins for each of the heavier used Humbrol paints such as the main greens, greys and silvers. Humbrol tins are pretty small, so i prefer to have too much rather than not enough. The floquil colours are much bigger bottles, so 1 bottle is plenty (if you can still find them). For Tamiya and Model masters bottles, they are a reasonable size too so 1 bottle is generally fine, possibly 2 if you wish to do a lot of testing with certain colours. (y)

So Humbrol Uniform Green matches your ‘Jayvee’s Chameleon Green' exactly :)

I tested every humbrol green colour back when I did this helmet, and the 'chameleon green' mix was significantly different to humbrol uniform green (#76 from memory). That's not to say that uniform green isn't a different mix these days, or that you didn't indeed get a good result with it. It can also be vastly different comparing photos to real life colour tests. Hopefully you've been able to test in person, and found it super similar. That would be a great result. But at least back then, nothing in a tin really came close to the mix I concocted (y).

It seems to fit... Although I can't compare side by side since Floquil went out of business, but side by side via pictures and testing before I paint it on, it seems to fit.

Awesome bud. I felt it didn't have enough bright green 'pop' to it, but that's great that it looks the goods for you and could be well worth investigating ☺

is there any thing that I can substitute for any of the floquil paints needed or is there any newer up to date color list since original post was done ?

Gonna have to repaint because for some reason Mona Lisa mineral spirits paint thinner doesn't like Humbrol enamel paint..... Almost no adhesion to the paint and the Maskol to most of the gunmetal, tank and ocean grey with it :/ The Silver was thinned with some mineral spirits i got at home depot and did the job well.

Yeah, if you check out post #67 in this thread, you'll find a picture I posted for someone who swore Tamiya didn't make enamels. There is a pic of the Enamel vs acrylic shaped bottles. Never had an issue finding them in Australia, which is rare, as we generally have a hard time finding things over here :)
