There is not a "one size fits all" helmet, how far/big is to far/big with helmet MOD

I've had several questions/request about larger helmets/buckets in just the past week or two. So im in the process of modding ( splitting) my master to enlarge inter diameter.
So here is my question; How far is considered to far to be approvable ?
If helmet details stay consistent and accurate as much as possible...will that still be 501st possible/approvable ?
Im going to split helmet in half( front to back) about a half inch. And will do the same for the left and right half.
If y'all have any info or rule guidelines on the specs please share!

I would think that the issue here isn't the size per se but whether or not your helmet will then have believability and proportional consistency. If you're looking to add material in the way described I think you might struggle because you're only adding material in one spot on each axis. Wouldn't the front to back increase the mandible gap and size of the key slots and the side to side invariably be made behind the ears and increase the size of the back panels? It sounds like you'd certainly end up losing the dome shape. It might be preferable to start with a completely new sculpt that's designed and built to be big rather than try to increase the size of an existing helmet. No attempt at that I have seen has made it work.

20150916_074657.jpg[004.JPGQ001.JPG this is where/how I split it once before (front & back half ). The key slot area would be removed before hand and the mandible gap would be adjusted as needed. The back panel would not need to be modded if the helmet it essentially quartered. So i guess the $64,000 question for me is would it be considered cannon still if modded to enlarge? Well, in those pictures you've already added material behind the ear; granted it isn't on the back panel itself but you have enlarged the vertical part of the red trim behind the ear so that it is clearly noticable. The alteration to the shape of the dome likewise so if you add more material it appears you will make further noticable changes. It's a difficult call because the better fan sculpts are approvable as is the Target helmet with enough work. The paintup can be just as important as the base helmet if not more so. I still think it would be preferable to start with a fresh sculpt than make further alteration to the MR recast in this way.

No way to enlarge the helmet proportionately that way. New sculpt or it's going to be off. It's already off... so you'll compound existing problems and add new ones.

I've got plenty of problems already....do not need anymore...
P.S. that version pictured is older! I have modded that one twice since that pict was taken. Is there a thread or location for the Specs/measurements on all the details of Boba Bucket

The exact measurements of the screen helmets are not widely known but the Master Replicas helmet is extremely close so if you'be access to that then you're in the right street.
