SolidWorks ESB Boba Fett Bucket

Trey

New Hunter
I am new here and decided to make my own helmet. Due to my very high standards, which come with my trade I decided to start by taking every picture I could get my hands on plus any thing I could use for refernce and start with a model in SolidWorks. My plan is once I have the model exactly perfect I will machine my design out of 6061 Alum and a hard Acrylic. I came across this site and seeing all the designs and the amazing work I figured why not post my project as I go. Any one intrested in a blue print of the parts I post can pm me and request the part and file type needed for their use. By all means let me know what you think of each part that I post. Your ideas and suggestions are highly welcomed!

I have only one part as of now and I will up load the jpg. There are some minor things I will add but I am not sure about what this piece needs. BOBA EAR.JPG

Your start is very good, but I have a problem with this part:

I might suggest to use the MR helmet with care because some of the measurements are off. Here are my measurements of the ears based on the reference images from the Gallery:

The measurements are off in some places but you got the general idea. Here is another file made by somebody else (sorry, but I can't recall who was the person), I only added the rulers:

It's way better than the first version. There are plenty of refference materials in the Gallery which shows the ears in all angles, especially in the Pre-Pro #3 section.
