Rattlecan colors for ROTJ helmet

New Hunter
Hey all,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice for the helmet colors.

I was following stormtrooperguy's (I think thats the name) ROTJ helmet rattlecan paint up thread from the stickies, and he names all the paints he has, but the pictures are gone, so I can't exactly see where each one goes. I've painted the majority of the armor using Rustoleum bright silver->Yellow Striping paint->Rustoleum Moss Green->Rustolem Hunt Club Green. Here is my armor-

My question is, what should I use for the "main" green on the helmet. I understand the back of the helmet is more of Hunter Green, but I can't tell o
If the main green is supposed to match the main green of the armor (Hunt Club Green), the green armor damage (Moss Green), some combination of the two, or something alltogether different.

Here are pictures of each of the colors-

Amy help or advice is greatly appreciated!!

The colors on the helmet are quite different from the armor. I don't know if I have ever seen a good rattle can equivalent for it. It is certainly closer to an OD Green than any of the colors you listed.

I don't remember where but I found this list on here somewhere for ROTJ:
Dome and Lower Cheeks- Krylon Italian Olive(3522)
This color is a Satin so it will require dullcoting.
Upper Cheeks- Krylon Navy Blue misted with Krylon Flat Black
Visor, Mandibles, Red Trim- Rustoleum Satin Cabernet misted with Ruddy Brown Primer.
Helmet Back- ColorPlace (Walmart Brand) Kelly Green
Keyslots- Krylon Grey Automotive Primer*
*Krylon makes three different shades of grey automotive primers. The medium grey is just called 'grey' on the label. The dark and light greys are labeled as such.
Left Ear-Rustoleum Satin Cabernet (For the outer edge of the earpiece) and Rustoleum Dark Grey Primer misted with Dark Brown.
Right Ear- Rustoleum Dark Grey Primer misted with Dark Brown.
Killstripes- "New Color" Valspar 'Hacienda Tile' (Available at Lowe's)

I've read that rustoleum spruce green works quite well. It's hard to find in stores, but last time I checked amazon carried it.
Personally I'm trying to decide between using moss green or spruce green or some mix of the two.
Best of luck!

Thanks for all the ideas! I'll probably try a few of the options, and if I dont like them, invest in an airbrush

Looks very different from the pic above showing colour swab. As the swab one looks great. Appreciate this was a time ago. How’d did it go?
As I need some help.
The Krylon Italian Olive is still considered the closest your going to get with a rattle can.
