PP1 PAINTJOB FOR ZSHERMAN BY MMGRAPHICS

Uh, dude... I appreciate you're trying to stick up for somebody, but you need to back off as you don't know the history here.

I'm going on A YEAR of waiting. A year. Really? That's okay with you? And someone having too many orders is okay with you, too? Someone agreeing to do something for you and net telling you know they might have 100 other projects ahead of yours and you're going to have to wait for almost a year when they didn't tell you that was the case is cool - so I should just give him a break. Let's say you ask the body shop to repair your car and after repeated attempts to contact them, with no response, MONTHS into their promise to deliver, they tell you to "cool it, man, we have other cars too."

Once you take someone's money, it's a JOB, not a hobby. You've agreed to do a JOB. If you have a life where you're not going to be able to do this in a timely manor, and not ever update your buyer, DON'T TAKE THE JOB. It's unfair to all parties involved.

And no, he's not in a hospital. I've been doing business on-line and in person with artists/prop guys for a LONG TIME. As for other people waiting a long time, I DON'T CARE. They're deals are NOT my concern. This one is. He made a contract to paint something for me and when you give people your hard-earned cash for services rendered, communication is key. All I want are updates. Even if it's "I haven't had a chance to work on it this week 'cuz my plants died."

I've had to PRY any response from him at all and publicly seems to be the only way of doing it.

As for people not gettin' gripped off, really? Might want to review the boards and amend that statement. I'm STILL waiting for a blaster from someone (and I'm sure we all know who that is) who's been banned and guess what? He still have my money and I have NOTHING. :(

Like I said, I appreciate you trying to help a brother out, but next time, maybe you should send the person a message asking why they're so upset before you call them out in public as you DO NOT have the facts.

I'm not trying to call you out, I'm just asking you to step back and look at who you're talking about. MM consistently does good work for people here, and you can't expect them to perform at a level of service as an auto body business. It's just not fair. Most of the builders and painters might do this for a living at least a little bit, but that doesn't mean they have the means to have that fast of a turn-around. And on the subject of those blasters, I was under the assumption you fellows found that man on Ebay? And it's regrettable to see that kind of thing happen, and I can understand why you're upset now, with the fear of somebody running off with your bucket, but you must know that if he does he's ruining, as you previously stated, his BUSINESS. And that won't happen when he's making his money from this. I guess what I mean to say is you should have patience. And I know patience is probably the last thing on your mind right now. I do have to ask though: A year? Did he build your helmet too, or is it just the paint? That's a little ridiculous... And I'm not trying to help anybody out, it just sucks when I cruise down the forums and spot the same guy getting the short end of the stick again. I just wanted to foster patience in you, I mean if we were to speak of odds it's astronomically unlikely you get ripped off twice. Still, I've been proven wrong before. I just don't wanna see bad blood here. :) That's all. Sorry if I felt confrontational in the first email, I just don't want to see artists and builders getting ripped on. I mean, these people work hard to give us this stuff. I say give them the benefit of the doubt. I've seen too many completed Fetts thanking this forum and the people on it to jump to conclusions, even after what happened to you guys with the blaster dude in CA.

Look, I don't know you and yes, the "Jesus Christ" set the tone right off the bat, but I DO appreciate your position and I am in no way trying to get bad blood on this board, just what I paid for.

MM does AMAZING work and I'm not questioning the art at all, but if he was busy and had told me that, this never would be happening. The pictures on this thread are misleading as they came quite a long time apart from each update. No one ever said he did bad work or hasn't delivered in the past - which is why I contacted him for this build. This is a deal I made with him and the specifics known between us and he's way late on delivery with "I'm back on it" and "it's coming soon!" expletives in what little correspondence I have received.

He, and all the builders here, have a responsibility when it comes to taking people's money. When they get paid, they need to give buyers realistic turnaround times for the work they say they're going to provide. Even if they're busy. End of story. That way, we know what to expect. But see, he didn't tell me any of that. He said it would be a matter of weeks. It's been SEVERAL MONTHS with little to no communication at all. He has had very little exchange with me, and other members here have even PMd me to tell me I have to "stay on him" or it'll be even longer. Communication is all we need as buyers. Whether the guy has personal problems or not, he should be communicative with people he's taken money from - especially if the deal's gonna drag on for whatever reason. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars on this board and it's all a matter of TRUST (even with paypal) and without communication there is no trust.

And I don't know about the Ebay blaster guy, I bought a build of a blaster here and got screwed (from a banned member named FettDad - he had personal issues as well. But now so do I. HE STOLE from me).

I'd just like to get a realistic deadline with updates on the work he's supposed to be doing for me. Is that wrong of me to want?

Updates? anything new here? Can anyone who knows Manny reach out to him for me? PMs go unanswered and I haven't seen an updated pic since Oct 11.

Man, I really hate seeing threads like this.
This is the worst kind of customer service, where communication just drops to zero.

I hope people are paying attention to the way mmgraphics treats his customers.
According to his profile, he was posting as recently as the first week of April, yet no
communication with his paint commission customer for months. Ridiculous. . .

UPDATED POST #1 !

@Zak: Your helmet will be ready tomorrow. I just have to put the killstripes on and it is good to go. Sorry for the long time paintjob, but I did tell you I couldn´t finish it earlier because of FP!

@superjedi: I am sorry to see that you start blaming me here bro. I always thought we would have a good relationship. I had several conversations with Zak before (so there was no lack of communication for the whole time!) and it wasn´t my fault that this paintjob has taken that long. I ordered this prepro helmet without dent from Fettpride, it is on eof his great premium helmets. He did send the helmet to me without the ears. I had to involve Art Andrews after 1 year of waiting time to move Fettpride to send me the replacement ears! I did send him several PMs over the year without any response. The stalk and RF is still missing (as far as I know the premium helmet has these things too!) but I will definately send out the helmet this week to Zak, so he has to wait NO LONGER. This paintjob was worse because of FPs bad communications, he was too busy with his GMH helmet run and seemed to have absolutely no time to response to PMs ... Again, I am sorry for having been absent on this forum for a longer time from time to tiem I checked in to see and send infos to Zak.

A huge apology for MY lack of communication.

But I never let someone down... as you can see the helmet is as good as ready now!

Best,
Manuel
