My new bucket!

Active Hunter
Hi!

Been building my Fett for years now, and with luck and help from local Garrison I was able to secure some pieces that I was missing on my costume, including another helmet, this being the Bobamaker Deluxe....

It has been sitting, waiting and wanting to be painted, as I did the work on the other parts of the costume, and as they were finished, I set out to work on this...

With thanks to Welshwarrior, whose Youtube tutorials were absolutely invaluable in this paintjob, I got it done, in a record time, in my oppinion.
Two weeks from initial work, to finish....

The bucket is now ready, and waiting for approval photos taken at some time soon.

Mind you, this is the first time I have EVER painted a Fett helmet, and my first time with an airbrush was when I set out to paint the armours...

...on the very last layers of paint, I finally got the thinner to paint ratio and the adjustments on my airbrush properly worked out....

Been a ride, this has, yes, and now as the final piece on this costume is finally ready, this seems to be finished....

Still, no cigar 'till the lady says yes...

Hopefully the approval pictures can be taken this weekend, and sent to the appropriate person as soon as possible.

You can see the other bits on my Se Fett build thread here;

I'll update that, when I get the suit approved.

Hopefully soon...

Cheers, and thank you...

Thanks!

For a first time painting a Boba Fett helmet, I a surprised how it ended up looking... I am a happy one at that...

I just had a photoshoot yesterday for the approval photos, and they have been sent to the GML on our local Garrison. Hopefully she can approve the costume as soon as possible...

In the mean time, I a tweaking a voice changer into the costume as well.. Might leave the changer an off switch just in case the voice scares kids...

Looks fantastic mate, glad those tutorials are being of some use. Had a look through your build thread aswell, ver impressive. Like I said if you ever paint another helmet, you will start to create your own colors that you feel match the helmet on screen. I saw you mention something about the red jumping out at you. What I think works is if you mix some of the custom purple with the red 60, at about a 1:3 ratio, it gives it that dark deep red look.

Look forward to seeing a full suit up.

Thanks Welsh!

Your tutorial really helped a lot! Without it, I doubt that I would ever have had the courage to start on the helmet, let alone finishing it in two weeks, from the trimming to last detail...

The red jumped on the camera with the last layer of red, and on the picture above, it has more of the custom purple on it, about the ratio you mentioned. I really like the paintjob more and more, and so do my friends.

As for the full suit, pics are taken, but, I prefer to keep them for myself, untill the lady says yes...

I know, I am teasing....
