More dents, please.

I saw a pic on TDH about a week or so ago that was of a recast of a movie used Fett bucket. I noticed that the casting had more dings in it than just the head dent. There was a gouge across one of the "mandibles" and nicks and chips here and there. Unfortunately, I don't recall where that pic was. Can someone please direct me to it? I did a search, but kept coming up with nothing. I want to try to recreate those nicks and dings in my own helmet.

Thanks,
GB

Hmm. Not the pics I meant, but that appears to be the helmet in question. I somehow missed the fact that it was a pre-pro. Please excuse my lack of knowlege on the different helmets. I only just jumped into the Boba thing just before I joined up here. But, I guess that's what's great about a site like this. It means I can learn all this stuff. Thanks guys.

Gypsyboy,

That's what this site is for...and we're not only a Fett Community, but a Fett Family too. Feel free to ask anything you're not too sure about and most definately one of the gurus here will help you out. On that note, don't forget to use the SEARCH feature button on the top, it'll save you some time and pretty much cover everything that's been discussed since from before. :cheers

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Stay safe,

Tim.

Thanks Halo_1 (.... Tim .... ? [ < Monty Python reference]) :) I do use the search, which helps a lot, but often I find if I don't know the exact terms to use it is little help. For instance, before I knew that little doohicky on the cheek was called a "mole" by the Fett crowd I had no idea what to look for.

Its actually a Borden connector. Dental equipment. You'll get a lot more hits searching for that.

I know that example was just a for instance, but I thought I would throw that one in for ya.

Are you the same Gypsyboy from the Sith Training Temple?

In fact, I am the same GB from STT. How ya doin' drokkul?

Got the borden connector issue sorted out, thanks. I may have to be sneaky about just drilling some holes in a little disk instead of actually using the connector.

Now I have to decide if I'm gonna stick with the ESB version I was gonna do, or go with the pre-pro. I'm really liking those dings and dents in the pre-pro.

Not bad at all, thanks for asking!

I still check out the threads there regularly, but its been forever and a day since I updated the thread on the chestbox I am building. I just found, for me, its too overwhelming to do two lifesize displays at once. I need to focus on one and get it done and move on.

Although as anyone here can tell you...Boba is never actually done.
