Master replicas???

Stole that pic from my friends photobucket! I'm the stormtrooper in that pic!

I PM'd him. He got back to me fairly quickly.

Honestly, I believe he can make a nice helmet. Probably fairly acurate. And technically he can probably reproduce raw ones for 50-100 bucks thereafter.

The key is how greedy he is. Its all about how much profit he wants off of each one.

I have seen a lot of surprisingly talented people. Some are greedy, some arent. I dont doubt he can make them. I dont doubt they can be made for $50 each. I somewhat doubt that someone wouldnt get burned out or greedy after selling 100 of them:)

But it takes all kinds in this world, and ive seen stranger things. So im going to give him the benefit, of giving him the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

You never know.

Alan has spent HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of hours making templates. If he had told you when he started..

I can make all these templates pretty darn movie acurate for free what would the response have been?

Hes not greedy. They are free:)

loveless talks up his work, yet has nothing to show us.... :rolleyes

That may be true, but I don't think the majority here wants a helmet for a few bucks, we want something that is as ACCURATE as we can make it. Remember...YOU always get what you pay for no matter how much someone talks it up:rolleyes Face it, we have moved beyound this folks...what is the point in doing all this research and intense study of the REAL DEAL if we are just going to **** on it? If you really want to be cheap, I can make a helmet out of cardboard, which by the way many movie props are made from cardboard and I could do for thirty bucks  Anyway, that is not the point. Pull out the check book and pony up, the artisians here at TDH have pushed this hobby into the professional realm and we should be supporting their efforts!! We asked for it and now we need to stand by it...them (y) I have been holding off on getting my Fett together for four years now just waiting for FP to do his thing and its paying off, I just need a pair of gauntlets now;) and I can get started on it(y) Anyway, to most who know me have never heard me say so much at one time ...so I will let it go at that but just remember to say THANKS to the guys and gals who help each other out here at TDH by making such beautiful pieces for us:cheers

I am still floating around. Perhaps I shoulda waited to post on here till everything is fully functional with mandalorian manor.

Anyhow, Helmets were supposed to be out today, but yesterday, I lost a very valuble peice of equipment, it broke down on me, so I have to get it fixed, please god, I will be vacuforming this week and am very hopefull I can post picks by this sat.

As for the helmets, you can have them totally customed, but trust me, the replicas are as close to what Joel did back in 78 as anything else you will see. I am spending great time in fabricating them so they are as accurate as possible. I have over 100 reference photos and measurments and such.

Again, I am very sorry I have fallen behind here, but I am still going, plus directing and producing movies is time consuming.

As far as price, I am not greedy, I am making about $25 off each helmet at best.
There durable and I am actually gonna start looking into fiberglass.
I am just getting started with mass producing, so It's going slow.

Also, I guess it could be considered greed, I can sell one replica for about $100+ or I can sell 5 replicas at $50 and make more off of em.
Either way, they take the same amount of time to make, it's just that it makes it more available to everyone if there cheaper. And you get what you pay for….I have never heard a statement so untrue!!!

Also yes, more picks soon and less talk as of now: )

If you are producing accurate buckets with accurate paintjobs, at least as good as the MR buckets, for $100......you are going to make a lot of friends here and make a ton of sales. Can't wait to see these pics

Sorry to Bump, just replying to LOPERO.

I build the helmets as they are ordered, if you want them painted, I will do so.
Each helmet will take a day to 3 days to complete depending on there paint schemes.
It all depends if you have a preferred shipping method, if not, I send by U.S. mail.
What purchases aren’t pay up front? I don’t do lay away bro.
Pay pal is how there paid for at the moment.
And yes, if you are unhappy with your purchased item, you have a week to send it back for your money to be returned, within reason. ( don’t expect any financial returns if the helmet’s are damaged as I’m making them very durable. )
YES, there is a price difference between painted and unpainted. Unpainted regardless of size is $50 Painted is over $100 under $200.
Also, Jango is made as well as there will be any kinda paint job imaginable, but it's off of the boba format from ESB

Hope that answers your questions LOPERO…

P.S. GCNgamer128, probably not that you really care. But you doubt me and are negative. I will not sell to you.

loveless - If you don't have any helmets ready, Could you at least post a picture of your bucks or moulds of your helmet to settle away some of the skepticism?

People just want proof, that's all.

Not trying to be rude, just helping you out.

I completely understand. I will post picks of the Junior mold thingy tomorrow when I get my fire wire back.

As for the adult studio deluxe, it is taking longer to do that mold cause it is being made as accurate as I can make it. : )

I'll post picks on here tomorrow guys.

I'm looking out for the best of the community, I don't want anyone to get ripped off. If you want to refuse sale to all those who doubt you, you won't be losing any customers. I don't buy from someone who I doubt will deliver the promised product. If you claim to produce MR Quality helmets for such a low price... well I see a lot of people asking for proof, and we're just not seeing it.

Where have I been?

People making MR Quality props for cheap??? Where were you when I needed a helmet a year ago??? You're making them out of styrene? No offense dude, but getting that good of quality, out of vacuu-forming is kinda far-fetched.
I would like to see pics of it as well, as I think EVERYONE also wants to.

I don't think anyone is trying to be rude, I think we just want to make sure NO ONE gets ripped off, and that you are not just lying about what you do, or what you strive to do.

Good luck with the mold and pics.

Maybe its best to take one step back and let the pics speak for the man. As a painter myself, I can tell you that I could not paint a helmet for less than a houndred and that's just for the paint. Not to mention that it would take me at least a week to complete it so I am very curious to see a finished helmet. Question: Paint (?)...spray can or air brush? 8)

Granted he made do good work, if and when we see it. But having him put down others for the contributions in everything Fett here and for someone that claims he's got reference photos and measurements BUT doesn't know what a Borden Connector is...tends to sound the alert klaxon and not make him many friends with the community. Read the COD.

And this statement:

GCNgamer128, probably not that you really care. But you doubt me and are negative. I will not sell to you.

Isn't gonna endear you any easier to the folks here. In fact, it just sounds plain childish. A better way would have been to back up your words with an actual accurate product and pics. Once that happens, GCN [right bro? :)] and I would be first to take our words back. But till then, I'll stand by what i said till i see different.

If that sounds harsh, it wasn't my intention but when when you go around doing stuff like that, and advertising gear without proof, I tend to be more wary and alittle concerned, especially for the newer mandalorians here who don't know better and for the fact that we've seen quite a few newer members push For Sale items that either don't exist or isn't what they actually advertised.

Tim.
