Looking for smaller Helmet Size

You know, that movie sized doesn't really look horrible on you. Remember, the bucket will always look big, especially without the rest of the costume. You'd be surprised how different it will appear once the rest of the suit blends with it. If you do go for the DP, try to find the DP95 or 96. You can usually find DP96 a little easier and they have a pretty good shape to them

Yes, the 96 is a much better buy if you go DP. They used the white vinyl part way into 96 as well. You would have a problem with resin melting as well, which is why everyone says to be careful when you glass them.

I agree though, once you put some armor on I am not sure that the movie helmet would be that far off for you. Although Bulloch is listed at around 6' tall so maybe the DP would be a better fit.

Kid Akira had a smaller helmet for sale. Think it was fiberglass. Not sure if he still has it.

I think that helmet size looks about right, especially when you add the suit and armour and such. I find even the movie Fett sometimes looks like he has a somewhat a large noggin in some shots. It just seems to work though. It seems to make him more menacing. My two cents.

I suppose, but to be... well for it to feel better on me i feel like i should have a slightly smaller one... thats me personally though... and the photo doesnt show off how big it really is lol... thats with a ton of bubble wrap between the top of my head and the helmet too...

I'm gonna have to agree with the others and say the same thing, it doesn't look bad at all.

To be sure, try a full frontal shot, from the top of your head to your abs....that should give us a better prespective on the sizing issue you have with the helm.

Remember what i said though bro, I'm using a BM and an MS3 and I look fine. ;)

Stay safe,

Tim.

Alcfalath,

Maybe this movie shot would help you with the sizing issues...

Hope this helps.

Its not just the helmet width really, its the height that is the main problem... the way it fits works out that where the T-slot for looking through is, isnt where it would fit best with my head/neck.

Were i to don the armour and have my head when it needs to be in the helmet, I wouldnt have much movement options at all with my head, as the mandibles would hit the armour as well as the cheek/ears...

Ive got no problem with the whole no neck thing, but being my stature with that huge helmet makes it a little difficult to do... :s

btw i have a rather broad and muscly shoulder/collarbone/upper arm build, which is why it causes problems....

Something Just a tad smaller would work well... In fibreglass preferably compatible with the Servo RF system... I know I said it b4 lol but im just a picky guy lol... and finiky with details... :p Thanks everyone so far with the comments and input :D

don't feel at all bad about how far down the helmet comes. there are plenty of no-neck fetts out there. jeremy bulloch had an inordinatly long neck. things that some of out no-neck fetts have done is extra padded the top and walked around looking through the down line of the visor.

pm me and i'll meet your helmet needs.

I am currently making full costumes for 3 sizes, kids, juniors and adults.

You can buy the pieces seperate, or together. The unpainted helmet is $50. Paint jobs are very cheap and very pro.

Here is the website link. It just got started, so look for massive updates every day.

http://mandalorian-manor.tripod.com/

There should be about 15 different paint designs, as well as massive armor designs from EU to OT. Cheaper then anywhere, and very durable vacuformed pieces. The photo on the website is the 3 - 6 year old to costume, just one of them.

P.M. me

I am currently working on a 1995 Don Post helmet with white interior . I bought it in 1995 for Halloween and it has sat on my shelf for 12 years. My first helmet and most likely my last, if my wife has anything to say about it. I have been trying for an ESB style helmet . I am pretty frustrated right now as my two year old son broke my visor :angry. I was having trouble mounting it anway, using bolts ala the Spideyfett method. It is hard to be mad at him when he says, "Sorry Daddy, broke Bohbaaa" :(. I just got a little over spray that will need to be sanded and fixed because I didn't have it masked well enough :( and was using the AFettFullofDollars spraypaint method. I can't find masking fluid anywhere in my area. I did find all of the spray paint colors though :D. I am in the finishing stages. If it doesn't turn out well I will sell it to you as I see you are in need of a smaller helmet. I will let you know how it goes :confused.

Nope its an ILM Jango replica.... needs a bit of work but its a decent MSH.. there are a few people here that have one, im sure BobaMaker picked up one to play with as well.

NLogan, keep me updated with that one, the white ones are almost impossible to find over here, but even then i may still be a bit wary with it, considering Perth heat this year looks to excel 45 degrees C.... and i wouldnt want it melting on me.... :(

Dude, the Jango is not really considered a MSH even though it's technically "movie sized" for Jango. You're not going to find a helmet much smaller than that that. Its barely larger than a DP95.

Ummm..... I sell the replica helmets in 3 sizes.....
I will post picks VERY soon.:)

P.S. My avatar is a four year old in the child costume, but that is custom, not replica, the replica photos will be available within a week.

P.S. You look so lost and sad in that photo. : (
