I'd love a stencil for my ROTJ SE helmet. I'll paypal when I get home to my own computer. :)

Hi Scott, I received the stencil the other day. Unfortunately, it didn't work out, when I peeled the stencil off, the paint wanted to come with it. For some reason the paint didn't want to stick to the helmet very well. I cleaned the surface of hand oils and such, but, who knows ? I still have one set of your decals left, so I'm going to try those again.

One way or another, I WILL have killstripes !! : )

What method of painting are you using? If you're using the layered method, the silver from spraypaints might be the problem.

Just to clarify for all of you interested in the stencil, it wasn't the stencil that caused my problem. I have Scott's decals going on all of my gear. The helmet decals look great !

My bucket has layered primer, silver, and the green. The green is pretty smooth and I thought I got all of the hand oil and such off of it but probably not well enough. I should have roughed it up a bit. When I spray painted over the stencil, it looked like I did too much.

What I mean by that is after painting, you couldn't even see the outlines of the individual stripes, so the paint made it's own layer over the decal/stencil. When I tried removing it, the paint that should have stayed on the bucket was too "attached" to the paint covering the stencil. That, combined with the lack of adhesion to the bucket, is what caused my trouble.

The stencil itself was great, it went on easily and stuck very well, just another case of trial and error !
