fixing a warped bucket?...

hey guys

i just had a SgtFang fett helmet painted up by a very talented member here...the paint work turned out amazing!

i noticed that the helmet seems to be a bit out of shape when you look at it from the bottom...it seems that since the part was removed for the visor it made the helmet structurally a bit weak

also, the visor doesnt seem to want to stay in place, it looks like he used some type of clear thick glue or epoxy to hold it in place but it is coming loose and contributing to the problem

is there an easy fix for this?

i probably wont be wearing the helmet, it's more for display

thanks!

I would say for the visor, use spideyfett's method. You can search it up pretty easily. He shows how to do it in his msh2 helmet thread and someone else started a tutorial thread for it. As for the shape I don't really get where you're saying it' deformed but you can safely heat up the resin from the inside with a blow dryer and flex it in the direction you need without damaging the paint. I repeat hair dryer, NOT HEAT GUN

i will try and post a pic later this weekend, thanks for the heads up on the spideyfett method

the bucket isnt that much out of shape, just needs a little tweak...;)
