ESB Chin Strap Setup

Hey there,

For anyone that has the replicas that were made a little while back, I'm looking for good photos of exactly how it's put together. I managed to get my hands on the real deal, but it will require some mods and the pics I've found don't quite show the snap and how the additional d-rings.

Any help would be appreciated.....

I am looking for the straps myself, so if you figure out how to mount everything please post some pics.

Thanks very much guys...... I had seen the thread you posted MarsVoyager............

F4R, that one I hadn't found, apparently didn't use the right search words.......... that one helps...... what I have been trying to figure out what the extra D Rings added and the snap.......

Yea thats a good one F4R bumped. i saved some pics from that! I'm pretty sure once i get my FPH2, I'm gonna build it as a straight up replica for display, interior n all, and those pics are awesome :) Thanks for bringin it up Major, and F4R for bumping that thread!

Lou,

I'm considering the same, since eventually I will have an ESB helmet that's just display, in addition to the trooping version........

Yea I'm pretty content with my MR based helmets now so I think the FPH2, ultimate ESB should be my display piece. I have the original straps/chin cup I will install in the FPH2, and use copies for my trooping helmet. I'll likely use the real Polaroid lens as well since I can get another if I need to make new molds for it. Now if I could find the correct Borden that would be fantastic lol

Yea man...nice! The correct bordens are so hard to find! I know there are ones that are very close, but haven't found the real deal. For now ill use the mojo ones :)

That's what I'm using for all the other versions of the helmet....... unless we find a stash somewhere.....
