DVH ESB paintup of DVH scratch build helmet casting

Thanks Man! It took ALOT of tweaking to get it to look as it does now. Some of the damage on the dome on one side towards the back doesnt line up with the trim damage...actually all the rear dome damage should be shifted to the right...but its fine, i know for next time :) I also extended the visor ends a little bit and trimmed down one side of the helmet so now the ears fit perfect and it has more of a curve if you look at the helmet directly from the side.

I also put the borden in and i put it a tad too low, (ugh!)but its not the end of the world. Overall, im happy with it and will troop it for sure!

I'll have a pic up tomorrow with the ears and all that on. Im making a rangefinder now...but thinking of maybe just buying one cuz i cant do the perspex block. I can do it in resin if i need too in a pinch, but id rather have the correct looking block.

Thanks 22! i hope so! lol I already learned alot just doing this one helmet!

Thanks Animefan! I tweaked em with the brush a little so they look much better than earlier in the thread :)

Got my camera back so here are some pics with the ears and stalk...makin the rangefinder tomorrow :)

Thanks so much guys! This is the first time im seeing one of my scrtach builds actually painted as Fett. Although alot of it was an uphill battle, the "fear of the unknown" when it comes to painting a helmet has been lifted lol. Looking forward to doing another and improving on it!

I have to thank WOF for the base templates i used and RafalFett for the painting templates. without those two fellas i would never have been able to accomplish this. Also thanks to Terminal Fettler, Jayvee and the other painters that gave me some tips and tricks, and Lucksy31 for the FP GMH ears painted by SuperJedi!
