Boba Fett helmet latex project

Hey I recently bought a latex Boba Fett helmet from Disney that is a good, but is lacking authenticity. Its number one flaw it the visual display. It is hard to see anything out of the helmet and isnt snug on the head. the visor is is made of mostly latex and cheap seethrough plastic. The paint is poorly done and doesnt resemble the original helmet. Im am tryin to find how to get a good visor, how to install it, to pad it and make it fit, what paint to use to make it look like the original, and anyother good tips. Thanks to anyone with tips and info.

Your new best friend should be a dremel with a cutting wheel on it. You'll be able to cut the old visor right out. Once it has been removed you can replace it was a torch cutting shield. You should be able to pick one of those up at any welding supply store. As for paints thats trickier. Due to the nature of the latex, spray paint won't work well and could remain tacky. Your best bet is if you can get your hands on a air brush. If that isn't an option, you can purchase spray paint primer coats to use on plastics. But a word of warning: thats how I re-painted my old Don Post helmet and it stayed a little tacky and just didn't have a great even finish. After several coats of spray paint, I got it looking sort of good... Hope that was helpful!

Thanks I just need to make it look battle damaged and the visor is way to small to see out of. If you have a certin brand of visor please let me know. ( I also Buy things online, and will have pics availble soon on my project.)
