BM2...

this may sound...stupid... but hold your helmet infront of the mirror, the "leening" visor is for some reason... well for me... more appearant that way...

trick I picked up watching the making of Jurassic Park. They didn;t know how to make a 7 tons creature run naturally, as nothing 2-day does such a thing. by rewinding the scene they could see bugs not appearant during normal play.

this works excellent on paintings and drawing s2, especially portraits :) hold em in the mirror and see if they still look half as good as when normally looking at it...

hope it helps ya a little...

I agree,

You can only really see it when you look at yourself in the mirror while wearing your helmet.

Thats how i noticed it to start with.

I've done a ton of reading on this stuff, but have almost no hands-on experience, so forgive my ignorance- what makes the bobamaker one less ESB accurate than the other two?

again just my opinion but i feel the MS helmets have more of a ESB flare to them. That is only the real different that i see other wise you can go either way w/ the BM or the Mystery. As said before all the helmets are high quality and i recommend them all

can you point out that ESB flare? cause this pic doesn't show one heck of a difference between the 2...

actually... the ROTJ visor is put in real ugly, with one side of the red visor area hinging a bit, making it smaller at the bottom then it is at the top...

ESB brow might have happend when glueing the visor in or whatever??

all differences are handling erros imo, Fett was crammed togetehr because he was only on screen for about 5 mins... in the background... luckily they had such an enthusiastic film crew, any other might have made him out of cardboard :p

my point is... I think all helmets are the same... so saying the MS has more or less flare then... whatever... means it looks more or less like the real "helmet".. I guess...

same ones....jpg

MS = Marrow Sun, and it's pretty much a fiberglass pull of the mystery helmet (originally cast in resin) if I have my info correct.

RBF, you are very correct when you say that these differences are due to handling and assembly. Just the way you install the visor makes a great difference in the shape of the helmet, as well as the damage these helmets took during filming - just look at the cracks all over the helmets in the exhibit photos.

So... I think I am going to go with the Bobamaker helmet. I like it a lot and it seems VERY accurate. But the thing I can't get over is the slight "curve" in the brow area. I know it's accurate, but I just can't seem to see it in ESB, and I can't seem to look over it when looking at the hollow helmet on the Bobamaker website. It's just so visible. Oh well. I'm still going to get that. And I'll get the deluxe package at that. If anyone reading this objects, please let me know ASAP! I can only use my boba-funds once!
P.S. How much do you think that a re-painted, with a new visor, rubie's Jango Fett helmet would sell for? Thanks.

you cant really see the wavy brow in the film but if you look at the photos from the exhibitions, its definatly there.

Trust me, the bobamaker helmet is awsome, you cant get better imo.

If you really dont like the wave, you can always sand it down like r boba fett did on his excellent rotj conversion.
