Another Boba Fett Helmet WIP

The latest and greatest progress, next big step is the back pannels, then up close details by hand with a brush, then the decals (on the ears and the kill stripes, they'll be painted, I just refer to them as the decals) then the inside foam padding to make sure it fits snug and avoids the bubble effect.

Initial paint up of the back pannels, major spray painting is done, other than the kill stripes which will be last. Now I'll be going in up close by hand with a brush for more detail.

Well here it is guys, Ive gone about as far as I can with the tools I have availible right now. Ive followed Raffaelfetts and Rich D's stencils as best as I could for now, all I have to do now is top it off with the kill stripes, and the final hurdle will be the inner padding to keep it from bobbling on my head lol. I know it's not 100%, but then again who's is, lol, thats what makes these custom peices right. But I must say it does look awsome sitting on my shelf :) Ill show off the final paint with the kill stripes sometime next week. Feel free to leave your comments and thoughts, thanks!

That helmet turned out really good man! I especially like the grey battle scaring, it looks gritty and the texture looks very believable! I would consider maybe trying to add a hue of greyish blue or brown or something to the light green. It still seems like it's lacking a certain aged feel next to the rest of the great work!

Other than that though, you have an eye for detail and know how to weather a helmet! Do this with the rest of your armor and you'll be one mean bounty hunter!

Lovely work bud! Not sure what your plans are with the killstripes - if you are painting them or have decals, but ive tried both, and with some carefull masking with delicate painters tape, the painted stripes look far better, and you can appropriately scale them to the right size. See how you go, but other than that, top notch work my friend!

Thanks for the props guys, I really appreciate it!! I am still working on dirtying up the green on the dome, I did mist it a little when I did the dent, for some reason it doesnt show very well in the pics, I just dont want to over do it and have it look bad. And yes the kill stripes will be painted, I have already made a stencil out of masking tape. A very tedious process using my stencils and an exacto knife lol But the stencil looks good, Im just waiting on getting the paint now, hoping I can get 3-4 shades ranging from yellow to orangish that blend together well.

IM DONE PAINTING!!!!! for now at least lol, I may go back and dirty it up a tad more later on down the road, but for now Im done, next is modifying a skateboard helmet for the inside padding to fit my dome :) I may open another thread for that. Oh yeah and the custom helmet stand courtesy of a paper towel holder, Im all about using what I have on hand, enjoy guys!
