Amiadfilter IS Zombiebuddy22. BEWARE.

I bought a "Mystery" helmet on eBay for $85.00. To my knowledge, it looks to be a recast of a Sgt. Fang or MSH. After some researching on the subject (which I admit, I should have done before purchasing it), I found out that a former seller, amiadfilter, sold a similar helmet. So I found out the seller's real name (Geoff Higgins). The seller of the bucket I purchased has the account name "Zombiebuddy22." However, on my bank statement, the paypal payment was to a "Geoff Higgins" as well. I have yet to receive the helmet, but I will keep you posted. There is a chance that he has realized the err of his ways and is selling an honest product. We shall see.

Well, jedi, i'm not going to have you paint a helmet of inferior quality. I just won't. I am through with eBay for costuming purposes. I have learned my lesson.

Well, Melvin Fett, I'll tell ya. . . it's kinda frustrating for some of us who have been around for a while, and have heard who the "naughty" vendors are, to hear some of the newer folks sound so excited about a purchase, and then get told "Oh you bought from him??? Good luck!"
Usually by that time there's nothing you can do but wait till your product gets to you and hope for the best.
That's why I really recommend doing some research before laying down any $$$ for something.

I had purchased a helm from Zombie. After a month, the item has not been sent to me yet. I was getting antsy, only to find out that his items are ****. Thanks to TDH, I have been able to convince him to return my money due to bad business practice.

I am in school for Law as we speak. There are ways of condemning further business on his behalf. I just hope that everyone who considers buying on Ebay has the chance, as did I, to know just what they are buying.

If he receives multiple negative feedback, he will be forced to change names again. Everyone keep your eye out!

I understand that. The biggest lesson I've learned from this whole experience is patience. It pays to be thorough.

Personally I don't have a problem with AmiadFilter/Zombiebuddy.

I know recasting is bad. but I'm not talking about that.

I have two helmets from him, and with a bit of work they can look very, very good.

define very very good? you get one from BM, MS, etc... and they will benear perfect. no blemishes, no seams, etc...

the amidafilter helmet i had was just poorly made. fiberglass not laminated well, sharp bits of mesh sticking out, thin spots, etc...

Well, perhaps it was the specific era you purchased your helmet from (I understand that he had several different stages in his helmets) or perhaps I've just been lucky. The helmet that I have is great. Yeah, it's not perfect, but solidly built and with some work it was very smooth and nice looking.

Quite honestly, after I was done with it looked just like any other helmet.

My helmet is one of these. It wasn't too bad, I guess, when compared to the others I've seen from him. It did have a lot of thick and thin spots, burrs on the inside, and even some air bubbles. Fortunately I have fairly good modeling skills. I took about a month to get and that was after a few emails letting him know I either wanted the goods or my money. The reply was that he was out of town and his room mate was supposed to mail it, but didn't, and he was unaware of a problem. In the end though I got it and even some other stuff that wasn't supposed to be included.

I too bought the same helmet from that guy. I don't know what this guy is using but that bucket weighs like 10bls. I broke all my Dremel tools cutting out the visor slot not to mention that you have to use filler to get those spots that he missed. really really poor quality. I now use it as an ashtray :) I recently bought a bucket from SgtFang, I heard that his are really nice but I'm still waiting on it. it's been over three weeks now but I'll let ya know when it arrives. I'm having SuperJedi paint it, so i know it will look awesome.

good luck Bounty!!!!!!

SgtFangs require some Cleanup, but from the sounds of it, you already have the experiance!

Im in the middle of cleaning up a new SgtFang, and its a pretty bucket so ^_^, needs some Bondo and some sanding, but its not too bad, mostly Amateur Craft stuff.

I hope you like yours as much as I like mine!
