Hey everyone with all the traveling I have been doing for work lately I have not had the chance to do a good WIP thread. With that I will work on doing them for this thread and the other thread that I recently started.

What we have here is an original FPH number #5 in fact. All I have to say is that this is a great lid and man is it huge!!!! I would recommend this lid (if you can find one) for all you Fett with the large noggins!!!! The cast itself is great and Allenhdds has provided my with a real MQ-1 circuit board to put in the back. Along with that he has also provided a set of Ali ears that I will mount on the lid as well. In all this is a great lid and I cannot wait to put in some time on this bad boy.

So far I have been able to get the lid in primer and spray the base gray blue on the back panels. I have have also hit the lid with silver and then the gray and concrete layers on the back panels. I hope to have the concrete masked out and the green layer applied mid this week.

Below are the pictures that I have so far and hope to update the thread some more tonight with additional pics.

As the previous owner of this helmet I can't wait to see this thing done! Originally it was dentless, but FPH #5 deserves to be a Boba!!!

Allen is going to be very pleased with how this bad boy turns out!

Wow!!! A week goes by and I just notice this WiP thread!!! I definitely will be watching this with Great, great interest. As a relative newbie to TDH (but no doubt a longtime Fettnatic), I'm thankful for the opportunity to have come across such a rare find and also thrilled to have someone as talented as Deadland take it to its true potential. Take your time, have fun and remember, there's no such thing as too many WiP pictures ;)

Alright I know I have not been keeping up with the posts on this but man have things been so dam busy with work it is ridiculous!! But none the less progress has been moving along on this lid. As of now the back panels are complete a long with the dome and upper and lower Cheeks and the kill stripes. All that will be left to do is the mandibles, ears and the detail work for the lid along with the mounting of the circuit board. I will be working on the stencils for the mandibles this week and hope to start tracing out the damage by the end of the week. on to the pics.

Alright got some more work done on this bad boy. The mandibles and trim are now complete and the next steps will be getting ears done and mounted. Along with that I will be mounting the visor borden connector as well as the circuit board and doing all the final weathering on the lid as well. If all goes right next week with taking some time off I should be able to have this lid wrapped up by the end of next week.

Rob, you are a Master. I am extremely happy with what I'm seeing. Yes, please take some time off to enjoy the Christmas holiday. You rock, man!!!!

Alright just about there all that is left is the weathering on this lid and mounting the circuit board in the back. Other than that she is all done. Looking to get this out to Allenhdds on Monday or Tuesday.
