Airbrush Kit

Greetings paint slingers! So I have a birthday fast approaching and my lovely wife has agreed to gift me with my first airbrush set up. I know next to nothing about airbrushing. However my first project will be my FPH2 RotJ helmet and armor.
We have tracked down two kits fairly disparate in price. I have read online several places that it is not wise to skimp on price when buying an airbrush. So I wanted to ask those painter artisans out there which of these two kits I would be ok to go with for the money if my main objective is painting up a bucket and armor and future prop and costume projects:
3 AIRBRUSH SYSTEM TC-20 G25, G22, TC20, HOSE & HOLDER

Obviously the 2nd one will be better quality since it's branded, but to be honest (i'm sure others will have differing opinions!) if you're just starting, i'd get a cheapo one off ebay and see how you get on. FYI I've got pretty much the same set up as the first link in your post and i've been happy with it. Of course you do get what you pay for, but for what i need (and the amount I use it), the cheap airbrushes have been more than good enough.

Thanks for the input!

I actually have that first one you put up. The air brushes that come with it were difficult to use for me. But I bought a Sparmax GP50 airbrush to go with it and it has been working great. I am still learning and technique and such so I have slowly been deciding how to upgrade things but the set up I have right now is working great. I will say that it works better with enamels than with acrylics.

The compressor works great. It does not store air. It runs continuously while you paint. It keeps only enough air compressed to start the process then runs as you are using it. The system seems to work for me.

If you were to buy the Master airbrush kit and then add a brush it would still be lower than the second one. But I am a newb just learning the trade.

Just an airbrush amatuer's opinion
