    Woodman, of course not! I really do believe Rick, under it all, is a good guy. Rick has made me aware of all his personal issues. I've been understanding but I also don't like being lied to. I don't like the fact that he lied countless time about the status of my order. I really don't like the fact that our original turn around date was 3 months and when everything started going down hill in April of 2016 he has my Helmet and Amor completely untouched for 16 months.



    At the end of the day if he was 100% truthful on my order this could have been prevented. He wasn't. This isn't your fault Woodman, this isn't anyone on this thread's fault, his customer's faults, it's 100% on him.

    He told me on 11/3 my helmet and knees would be completed on 11/14. Two days later he said he was going to send me back my helmet stripped and re-primed with a full refund. Does that sound like someone who was a week away of completing my helmet?

    First, I want to apologize for agreeing earlier with the assertion that Rick never intended to complete any of the commissions he took on. I don't believe that...I was just frustrated after reading through this thread.


    I paid Rick in full on 10/6/14 and he took delivery of armor on 10/27/14. I've talked to Rick maybe 5 times since he took my commission in 2014, but we haven't corresponded since 2/2/16.

    Just wanted to stop by on here after googling issues with Rick Ponte, I went into contract with Rick for a completed SE Fett in July 2015. The agreed turnaround time would be a year on July 2016.

    To this date I have received zero pictures or any updates besides the fact that he needs to source out a new helmet.
    I have paid him in full for the commission and have been left with nothing.

    How else should I proceed at this point?

    I wonder how many Fett commissions Rick has taken on over the years? I only know of one confirmed FINISHED commission.

    I curious as well. When I spoke to him it sounded like I was the next one on the list. At this point I just want a full refund because I doubt he has even started on the suit at all... Is it fair to ask for a full refund if he has even possibly bought the parts? I dont want to wait another year or two...

    i know i'm probably speaking out of line but all cards down, pretty sure one of the only reason that specific commission was finished was due to the customer's geographic relationship to Rick, being able to drive a relatively short distance to obtain updates, drive production, make adjustments and ultimately force completion. its much more difficult to rip someone off when they know where to find you...

    You're 100% correct.

    Rick said he'd have everything shipped out (uncompleted of course) with refund today. I don't want to use legal remedies but fingers crossed.

    I was told Saturday that my property (Helmet and Knees) would ship today. It's 6:15pm and I have no received shipping information from Rick or from UPS. Simply put, he has not shipped my property.

    Since UPS store is walking distance from his house (literally, I've been there) it's very hard to understand WHY I don't have shipping information.

    My helmet is supposed to be on it's way to a new painter tonight. My knees were finished by Rick and should be on the way to me this week.
