two new movies comin out.

After the off-the-scale great animations they did for the robots in Transformers, I'm totally pumped about a Robotech movie. Thanks for the heads up. I'd like someone to make a movie, or better yet an MMORPG based in the Rifts universe. And for the gamers out there, I read that Bioware is working on an interactive game for Lucasarts.

Rumor on that one...KOTOR MMORPG (y)

Definitely glad to hear about the Robotech movie. I've been a fan since I was about nine. There's just nothing so inspiring to a young child than daydreams about being the hero, riding a giant transformable robot to the rescue. :) (Still pretty cool two decades later LOL)

Sepuel to Transformers.....dont tell me galvitron...Sigh. :)

I hope not yet!!!!! They need to bring megs back for at least one more...we didn't get to see much of him, & he's still not taken an earth technology on!!!

Robotech: I used to fake being sick when I was a kid so I could stay home from school to watch it!!!! Hey, For you transformers/robotech cross series fans: did you ever notice that the Jetfire transformer (skyfire in the cartoon) was almost identicle to a robotech/macross fighter????? To this day, I still have my Jetfire displayed in jet mode, with the legs down...just like Rick's 1st fighter in Robotech G1!!!! ahhh...good times & good memories!!!!

In fact the first wave of Jetfire toys still had the Macross emblem

Yes, I think a new live action DBZ movie had been rumor now for as long as I've been a fan (around 10 years)......I need to make it clear though, I'm a DBZ fan, NOT a DBGT fan! I've got thousands and thousands of TCG cards. Proboly around 50 or so articulated figures. I think after the Androids came into play I started thinning away....Majin Buu felt like it went on forever. :p

P.S. - Iron Man Rocks!!!!

Thought id finally jump in here... The Rumour mill is hard at work, but a few solid facts have come through.

Yes there is going to be sequels... Plural.. A trilogy at the least. Megatron will come back for one more movie. Now this is where you need to go back and watch the movie very closely again, as these next facts were hinted and finally revealed by the producers and writers of the movie...

The Original Series Transformers could only take shape once, however the writers became creative and decided that in all fairness, the Transformers should be able to change form to suit them in what they need, by scanning an object and duplicating it, shown by Bumblebee when he 'Upgraded his Camaro image". It was announced in a conference that this decision, which would seem practical in todays society, was also in case of possible sequels, to aid in the continuity of the series.

Secondly, in the middle of the final battle, 2 Decepticons went AWOL... Starscream and Barricade.. Everyone who has watched through the credits knows about Starscream doing a runner, but nothing was said/shown about Barricade... This is where the announcements stop however and the 'Mill' come into play...

Its mostly believed that Starscream goes for re-inforcements.. (its a given) but when they show megatron and the Decepticons being dumped into the Laurentian Abyssmal, they never show a underwater sequence showing his disappearing into oblivion.. Given the fact that the Transformers can change into what suits their needs, this would be where Barricade comes into play... The thoughts are that the next movie will start with Barricade scanning a submersible rescue vehicle and secretly following the US Navy to the dropoff point, and rescuing the remnants of the fallen Decepticons...

Just to finish off this post, unconfirmed but appealing rumours of the appearance of the Insecticons in the next movie have surfaced, with a possibility of a Dinobots/Beast Wars hybrid for the last one...

Iron Man... Looks like that armor's vac-formed. When will we see FettPride become Iron FettPride? lol

My opinion on the Transformers movies: Next one involves Megatron turning into Galvatron, thanks to the influence of Unicron (who will make a very minor, shadowy appearance in II and be the main villain in III. Starscream will come back and bring the other Seekers with him. Jetfire will show up, and take the form of the Space Shuttle (That was his coolest form, IMHO). We'll see Prime in a new color scheme, as well as Ultra Magnus in some form. The military will be heavily involved again, and it'll be less about the people this time. Megatron can't come back as himself, only as Galvatron, because his Spark was destroyed/damaged beyond normal repair by the Allspark, and there would be a huge fan cryout if that was ignored.

Oh yeah, and there's gonna be Arcee. They had said that they were thinking about using her from the start, but ended up not doing it because they weren't sure how she'd be received among only male transformers.
