Sooooo, what did you think (Rogue One)? SPOILER ALERTS

I think that a better cameo/easter egg in Rogue One would've been Jyn bumping shoulder's with Boba Fett and not Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba on Jedha.
That woulda been sweet!

I can't wait for it to come out on Blue Ray for more critical watching!

I thought Rogue One was wonderfully done. The CGI characters were great, the cut footage from ANH were an extra bonus. Looking forward to seeing it a few more times in the theater.

All in all, I really enjoyed it, especially the last hour. There were so many scenes in the trailer that didn't make it into the movie that I would love to know what the re-shoots changed. It looks like most of it was on Scarif.

i thought the title screen was amateurish, not sure why they didn't just use the title font from the posters and all the other merchandising.

The music was hit and miss for me. There was one track from earlier in the movie that I swore could've been in one of the newer Star Trek movies.

it's very impressive how they were able to meld the end of Rogue 1 with A New Hope. It was almost seamless.

Pretty good overall. Really liked how the story line fixed a major 'plot hole' that carried on for years. Had a great feel to it which tied in to the older movies and the ending leading into a New Hope was fantastic.

Onto the dislikes - I really didn't dig the CGI. It was done well, but I just don't think it's at the stage yet to blend seamlessly amongst humans. Could've had more in the shadows, as holograms or side views to sell it better. It would've been perfectly fine if you had only seen the back of Leia at the end.

I have to admit to not really feeling an investment in the characters either. I found them all a bit cliched and 'meh' - and could barely remember their names. Definitely preferred the newer characters in TFA.

Loved Vaders final scene, hated his first scene. Way too much dialogue that could've been shortened with 'give me an update' then force choking Ben Mendholsens character and ending with 'pray you don't fail me again' or something similar.

So a mixed bag for me - some good stuff, and some things that could have been done better. 7/10. :)

That first scene could have been scrapped....what was the point? For Krennic to whine to Vader about Tarkin? If you're gonna keep it, it could have been done through a hologram so there's less awkward movement.

You didn't like the 'choke' pun? ;)

Carole, you hated The Force Awakens? Say it ain't so!

I definitely didn't like the Vader choke pun. My problem wasn't the pun itself, it was the visual of Vader turning around with his fingers in the choke position. The visual was wrong. It is true that Vader has not been above using some humor. But this humor is almost always contrasted with Vader doing something physically horrible. He seemed like he was actually smiling when he delivered that line. It could have been acted better while keeping the line.

BTW... I thought it was really cool that he was taking a bacta bath in that one scene. I think it showed Vader's vulnerability and the pain he went through on a day to day basis. This was an important reveal in ROTJ... that this man that we feared and who projected so much power was, in fact, a broken man.

Hated it with a burning passion. But Rogue One brought back some of my love for Star Wars :)

It was good . The beginning started out a little slow. The blind guy got on my nerves a little bit . Vader kicked ass . The choke pun was terrible. The Rebels being a unorganized effort that was struggling in every way was a cool aspect . Not as good as TFA In my opinion but definitely will be adding it to my movie collection

I think I pretty much love it. I waited till last Thursday so I could see it with my bestie who lives 500 miles away, loved it so much we went and watched it on Friday again too.

i don't critique Star Wars, it looses something when analysed for me but..... I agree the cgi but I loved the development of tarkin as a character. Yup wish we had seen more of the relationship between Galen and krennec. Loved the darth vader, would want to see him in a stand alone being really badass. Those scenes showed why he was so scary to us muggles. Loved the fact that that Edwards wasn't scared to kill them all off..... All in all, nearly better than empire........... Nearly..... Anyway, I've seen it twice, I'm going again with the kids in the next week and I will have a new hope ready in the DVD player as soon as I get back.

though I choke as it say it, well done Disney.

In the EU Vader had a sanctuary on a volcanic planet which wasn't Mustafar, but as far as Rogue One goes I believe it has been confirmed that it was Mustafar in the film.

OK, I went and saw it a second time and tried to put a little more critical eye and ear on it. First thing I noticed was that the score is completely different from the John Williams themed one in the trailers. I tried to pay attention to see if I just missed it the first time. Which for me sucks because that was one of the things I like the most about the trailers was the music. It was standard Star Wars but redone in a dramatic, yet tasteful way. I guess if that's my only beef then it's not too bad!

I also caught/noticed two storm troopers talking about how the T15's were declared obsolete, thus giving way to the two stormtroopers talking about the new T16s in ANH. LOL

Still like it.

anyone notice how it ended looked like Owen and Beru when they first got Luke? Only Jyn and Cassian were about to be decimated.
