Sooooo, what did you think (Rogue One)? SPOILER ALERTS

Personally, I liked it. I felt it was fast paced, had the most action and was "realistic" in the fact that some folks died doing what had to be done.

what say you?

Is this to be a spoiler-free thread?
I really enjoyed it! I thought the story was well thought out and although it was a little jumpy at the beginning, everything meshed well as it went on.
It definitely had the Star Wars feel to it. I like the interaction between the characters as well as the little bits of humor thrown in here and there.
Seeing the OT ships and costumes on screen again was a blast! :) I love me some X-Wings.

I liked it more than TFA. It was a different type of film and the action was more intense than other movies.

I agree with what everyone has said here but I have to admit I'm a little pissed off there was no word scroll at the beginning!

I agree, I think this was this biggest nail biter, action intensive Star Wars yet. I also liked how they had Red and Gold leader in there. I couldn't tell if they were cut footage from the original or if they were CG like Tarkin and Leia. If they were CG, they were really good.
I'd hate for a spinoff to become my new favorite movie of the lot, but this was really good.

I wanted a different ending w/Chirrut.
I felt sad at the end for the 'rebels', but the last moments with Vader were wayyyyyyyy macho!

I thought it was very good, but wished they had done the opening differently. Not sure if you saw the rogue one panel from Celebration. They opened by showing the scroll from a new hope and when it got to the line about stealing the death star plans it stopped and inverted, then faded out the letters... I thought that was a pretty cool way to do it.

Rogue One is excellent! :D I love how this film portrays the Rebels in more of a gray area and not the saintly good guys on the white horses. I find it interesting that there are Rebel terrorists and that the fighting on Jedha mirrors Middle-East turmoil. There's more to this movie than meets the eye. A lot of people complained about all of the planet hopping done early on but I love that aspect as well! :D

Agreed, if this is a Spoiler Free Thread, than it needs to say that in the heading. If the thread has spoilers then that needs to be in the heading as well, so someone doesn't accident click on it and ruin the movie for themselves.

I think not having the scroll was intentional (I mean obviously it was intentional since they did it). I think they did that to separate the "true" episodes with the spin offs. They did psyche me out by not having it because they kind of set us up for it.

That being said, it was a great movie. I didn't hate the cgi because they kind of had to do it, although they could have done it a little better. The whole "I am one with the force the force is one with me" got a little old toward the end. I got absolute chills with Vader at the end... Cementing himself as the most bad-a** sith.

I'll edit the title when I get home to reflect that there may be spoilers. Had I not already watched the movie and I was worried about spoiling it for myself, I'd simply just avoid reading any threads pertaining to the unseen movie. That said *spoiler alert* everyone dies. Very sorry for the offense my omission created.

It bounced around too much in the beginning, there was a couple scenes that didn't add much, and the CG character (the first one) was a little off to me, but overall I loved it. Far better film than TFA and loved all the little easter eggs/nods to the other films. Wish Saw Gerrara had a bigger role too, what an interesting character! And the final Vader scene was BA! I'd love to see a while film of Vader hunting and dispatching of the remaining Jedi.

I think that a better cameo/easter egg in Rogue One would've been Jyn bumping shoulder's with Boba Fett and not Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba on Jedha.
