Hey, I'm just checking to see if there are any other people on here that ski/ snowboard. I'm going to be hitting Alpine (near tahoe/ season pass) this winter winter with my peeps.... just seeing if anyone else in norcal snowboards/ skis as well.

Yet bet pizzaman, a ton of boarders here. Confirming a TDH trip to Mammy for the holidays. Hopefully we will be able to bump that thread up from the archive with an up date today. :cheers

I've been snowboarding since 93 and I love it more than most anything. I used to work for Stratton Mountain in VT when I still lived up that way. I'm from CT and after a few years of commuting to ride in VT and NH I finally just moved up there. In the 95/96 season I got in over 100 days of riding...best year ever!

Since then I've been to Alaska, and all over the NW to ride including a few trips to Mt. Hood.

Oregon is the best and Portland is the best city to party in!!!

I moved to FL a few years ago and instead of every weekend it's turned into once a year. I'd love to change that but life and money don't really permit. I'd be down to do a trip though, that would be sick. Next season...09' I'm getting married in April of 09' and we just bought a house so I'll only be riding in MI this year for a few days when we go visit my fiances' family. I don't see another trip till next season after that...

B/W the house, getting married and an 50% done ESB Fett, I think snowboarding has to be put on the back burner until the 09' season or I'm looking at a divorce before the wedding

When we went to Alaska, it cost each person about 1200 bucks for 8 days (5 day lift ticket) airfare, hotel at Alyeska Resort, 1 full day of snow machine excursions into glaciers and all that jazz and some spa time...

It was an amazing trip. I'd be down for something like that. A TDH ripper vacation!

Ya, knew about the mammoth trip. Would be great to make it down to that. Anyway, we're gonna be boarding all winter, so we should try and get another snowboarding thing going up in Alpine.

Amen brother. I grew up at Mt. Hood Meadows shredding, and I lived in Portland till I was 21. I now live in Seattle(and am 28 now).

But, I miss Hood. That's my home stomping grounds. I go there a bunch still, but not as much as I'd like to. It's about 5.5 hours from Seattle now. Good mtns. up here though too.

So rad! Last time I was up there we went up to Seattle after a few days of riding and there we had a blast! There were some protesting going on so we booked and came down the coast going back to P-Town and ended up doing a Goonie adventure. We went to Astoria, walked up to the Goonie house and then traveled over to Cannon Beach and hung for a bit.

If it wasn't so rainy I'd live up there just to ride Hood and skate at burnside!

I've been skating since I was 11 and then right as HS ended, we all started snowboarding and I've loved it all since.

Let's have a Boba/snowboarding mini con in the NW next year!:cheers

Nice! Seattle's got some good close mtns. Snoqualmie, Stevens Pass, Crystal. Good spots for sure.

Ha ha, that is awesome you got to go to the Goonie house! That's an old NW local tourist attraction for sure! How bout the Kindergarten Cop house. ;)

I'm used to the rain, but I do wish it was drier up here. I am having the best summer skating right now, and don't want it to end soon. Next time you come thru Portland, you've got to hit the indoor park-Dept. of Skateboarding. Look it up on Google. Amazing.

Boba/snow shred mini con? Count me in! :cheers

I've skated at Burnside twice but when the local rippers are there it's kind of pointless to skate. They kill it! Is Osage Buffalo still around there? He was destroying it last time I was there. Now that I think about it, one time when I was there there was a huge stormtrooper mural on that one main wall...Funny, before my 501st days.
