ROTJ gauntlet hose inner colour

Is it me or is there an inner dark colour to the hose on the gauntlets? It looks a little dark, black almost.... I just got the hose I need but feel it needs something on the inside....thoughts?

It is black because there are wires and cables inside the hoses:

Silverstalker, try using a spare black internet cable line or even a thin power extension cord. Make sure it is the flexible type so it doesn't make the tubes to rigid to bend. If your only spare extension cords are white, just spray paint them or run to the 99cents store, they usually carry the cheap extension cord which will do the trick.

Soak the plastic hoses in coffee for a week THEN run flexible stainless steel tap hoses thru them, the 'spring' in the hoses will help in straightening the hoses as you flex and extend yr arm allowing them to run up ur sleeve without them moving out (avoids looking like you have been doing only bicep curls with yr right arm LoL).. you bunch the ends of all three hoses (RoTJ ) and anchor with elastic to the top of your sleeve..Kills 2 birds one stone so to speak. Clear as MUD hey ..anyways my 2 cents ..

Is this true for RotJ also? All of the shots I've seen in the gallery look like hollow tubes in RotJ. I'm working on coffee staining some tubing now, so this info is very topical (ack -- pun).

Thanks!

The ESB proto/pre-pro/promo/hero suits were functional almost 100%, while the ROTJ had limited functionality, this is why the ROTJ hoses don't have wires/cables inside them (or at least this is what I see):

Coffee Hu. ..ok I will get out my cafetiere at pop on a brew haha....

I could always put the sleeve end on elastic and attach that to behind my shoulder, that way the hose should retract back up the arm sleeve and not bend outward all over the place every time I lower my arm
