PSP Woes?

Anybody here familiar with the PSP? Anybody gone through headaches with software updates and faulty or damaged parts? I just wanna know that I'm not alone in this world.

I just bought a used one two weeks ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. First it was misdelivered by UPS. After some searching I found it on the porch of a vacant house accross the street. So after a week of not knowing where it is I finally get my PSP. but then I find that it can't read the memory stick. The memory stick was dirty and so was the memory stick port. I clean it and it still can't be read. So I buy a new one. The new one works but the PSP still has rouble reading it because of the dirty port. I then decide it might be a good idea to update the software. But, halfway through the update the thing tells me it can't read the memory stick and to make sure its inserted properly. I do this, and then it says "update failed. contect customer service." or somesuch like that. Then the screen goes black and now it won't turn on. Turns out, my PSP is now what they call "bricked" This happens when power is cut off during an update(or your memory card decides to fritz.) To fix it, I need some crazy thing called a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick. You can buy these or make them. I bought some and I'm now awaiting their arrival.

wow ya i have owned all three versions of the psp and never had trouble like that all mine have worked prestine all the way up to when i trade up to the next version
