, I like the comment, and I wish I'd meet him sometime, some day...

In teh meantime, I'd like to donate something, but in my situation is just in a monetary matter.

I'm an idiot. Okay, no surprise.

I just realized something else I can donate that I actually MADE......shoulder bolts. Duh.

So, I'll also donate Machined Cod/Collar bolts.

Heh I didn't even think of THAT one, Jim! I even BOUGHT a set from you and didn't think about it! DOH! They rock though! That'll be a nice addition to the suit! :D

How will all these pieces be gathered together? I mean, will all of the donators have to send their parts/donations to one TDH member and then he/she sends the whole suit out to JB (or just hand it to him personally)?

I'm just curious, and I'm also wondering what the timeframe for this is. If I made Mr. Bulloch a set of my RF Lights...how long do I have to work on them? :)

Cheers,
Bobo

No decision has been made yet on the logistics of the project. Our first concern was if we actually had enough interest in board members to go ahead with the project. At this point, it seems that 95% of the parts we need for the suit have been spoken for by the generous members here, and the remaining parts will either be donated as we go along, or bought using the monetary donations of other board members.

We will probably have to "elect" a "project coordinator" to manage all of the specifics, and then we will have to decide how we want to go about assembling/painting/etc. the various pieces of the suit. It would reduce time and effort if we had more people helping, but then you run into the problem of having *too* many artisans working on the parts and issues like paint colors not matching (if, for example, 1 person does the chest armor and 1 person does the codpiece) start cropping up. I know Boba's suit is a "hodgepodge" of colors and pieces, but still we want it to be somewhat uniform, ya know? :)

I'm just curious, and I'm also wondering what the timeframe for this is. If I made Mr. Bulloch a set of my RF Lights...how long do I have to work on them? :)

Cheers,
Bobo

Timeframe? It's been suggested we shoot for CIII (May 2005), so that gives you (and everyone else) ~18 months. :)

The only celeb I ever met that was as cool to the fans as J. B., was Robert O' Reiley(Gowron of ST-TNG). J. B. is one of the kindest people, and an example of what some of the other celebs should be like to the fans.

COUNT ME IN !! (y)
I'll be happy to donate the remaining armor peices(collar, backplate, knees, and cod-piece). Sorry, I've never made the lower backplate, and don't have the right gauntlets(I make Jango stuff), or I'd donate those too. Someone else will have to do the painting though. I'm just not experienced with painting Boba parts.

Cool! Are those all BOBA parts you're donating? ;)

If Sithcamaro can't get you the Ammo Belt and pouches, let me know and I will. Not trying to step on any toes, just want to help.
I also have an extra set of Cod & Butt armor. They are Metal.
LMK it you want them.
Thanks,
Robert E.

FYI, we had a VERY generous offer tonight of ESB gauntlets (if we go with an ESB suit) in addition to ROTJ gauntlets (if we go with that suit) by Ruffkintoy! :)

I'll add that to the list up at the top...

Seems we have most everything spoken for, and the parts that we don't have, we can probably buy via donations...

Aaalllrighty then, when do you want them, and where do I send them? :)

We're still working on a "project coordinator" who will serve as a central "collection point", then we'll need to address the issue of who gets to paint and/or assemble all of this stuff?

We're also going to need a PayPal account set up to handle monetary donations. Preferably, a "senior" member of the board will help us out here. I only say "senior" in hopes that other members will feel more comfortable transferring money to a member of TDH that is well-known and trusted (not to say anything against any of the newer members). :)

what exactly constitutes a senior member? Like member for over 2 years or so?

Heh... beats me! There's no such thing, really. It's just an expression I came up with. ;)

I'd say a member that everyone knows (and preferably TRUSTS). I don't know what criteria to use, though. I just figured members would rather let a known member handle funds than a newbie with 2 posts (not to slam newbies with 2 posts :D).
