My New Star Wars Home Theater - Death Star Hangar

Had a little extra time today and yesterday so I decided to make some quick detail pieces out of Sterilite containers and leftover hose. I didn't get too involved with these, just added some greeblies from my "Star Wars parts bin" and put in a few LEDs. I'm also going to add some alien symbols to dress it up a little. I have one more small bin and another smaller piece of hose to add. I have to do something with the front doors of the media cabinet as well and this piece will be about done.

That is just awesome! The fine details are the best. Oh and put me on the very jealous list as well!

Thanks!

On another note, I was thinking about ideas for the front wall. I want to change it up a little, so this is a very rude interpretation of what I want to do. Too much $$ to hire someone with more airbrushing skills than me, so I'll have to wing it.

If I can somehow pull this off, I think it'll look sweet. Let's see how it goes.

Thanks all, I appreciate the comments! Icesasquatch, I bought some white plexiglass from a local sign supply shop. I backlit each panel with 2 utility style LED light strips. Still need to finish the front wall......

Thank you, azheat. How did you cut the holes in the mdf, did you use a Cnc
router?

The holes were cut with a CNC machine. I have the dimensions of the holes a few pages back.
Thank you. Man love looking through the pages , the details are awesome I pick up more stuff each time. I still don't see the hole dimensions maybe it is because I'm looking on the iPad.

Well, finally finished the front wall! The planets, stars, and asteroid field are a combination of brushed acrylic and airbrush. The ships and explosions were printed in high resolution on self adhesive paper, mounted on some poster board, and then mounted off the wall with some pieces of foam board to give a 3D effect. I still need to add some detail to the asteroids. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. Still need to figure out what I want to do with the ceiling........
