Man of War Studios possible "Gauntlets" run ?

Hey Guys,

Over the past several months I've had many inquiries concerning gauntlets. Am I still making them? When are you planning to make them?..etc. etc.

Though I stopped making gauntlets nearly a year ago and vowed never to do another set I am feeling the frustration of a lot of you who are in desperate need of a set to finish off your costumes...

I'd like to take a short break from the classic Jet Pack kit casting while I complete the molds for the "Arena" version being released in early May.

Soooo if there are any of you that would be interested in purchasing a set of ROTJ or ESB version gauntlets please drop me a pm. If I do decide to do a run at least I'll have a good idea of my workload.

Cost would be the usual $350.00 a set (non-painted) fully assembled. I may make some design changes such as a vacuum formed bottom section and may decide to cast the remaining sections out of gel-coated fiberglass and/or hollow cast resin. The same material used in my Jet Pack kits.

I'll be fooling around with some ideas while looking forward to your responses..Thank you all for your continued support.

Best,
Christian

If you did that vacuum formed lower shell, would it be possible for those of us that have gauntlets from your last run to get a replacement kit?

I'm always nervous about the shell getting broken... that would be a great "peace of mind" change.

it would almost be too good to be true. i don't remember what your kits looked like right off the top of my head (other than they were beautiful), but i'd be tempted to get myself a second pair of gauntlets.

Mojo,

Yes. The ESB flame unit, rocket and keypad details where all loose. The bulk of the gauntlets were assembled with a metal hinge.

I may do away with the hinge all together and go for velcro closures on both ends..I believe Fettpride did this with the JB gauntlets. loved it !

hrmm i would be tempted very much on these, thats if they will fit my arms... id love it if they would though!! ive got a bit of a muscly forearm and they arent that long either lol... :p

MOW If you could give me a rough measurement setup on your gauntlets ill let you know whether id be in for it :D

put me down for a set of ROTJ gauntlets if all goes ahead
welcome to tdh, being that this was your first post i will applaud you on your decision to go "all in," and not balk at the price, thinking that you can skimp on boba. if you try to go cheap with boba it doesn't work out very well most of the time. unless you have mad skills. also, although i don't know where in australia you live, and it is a large land mass, but you're in some pretty good company in your land down under. there are some very fine fetts in australia.

now back on topic: i'm going to get to work on my fp gauntlets, but i've always wanted a set of MoW's. i don't want to let this opportunity pass me by.
