This year I have been the Santa at our local mall. The other night a 7 year old presented me with his toy list.5 of the 7 toys he wrote down where that of Star Wars in nature.
1 Jango Transformer
2 Obi Wan Transformer
4 Lego Star Wars Complete Saga for Play Station 2
6 Clone Trooper Officer
7 Battle Droids
After speaking with hundreds of kids that night it was neat to get a list like this. His eyes lit up when "Santa" informed him that Star Wars was "his" favorite movie. We spent about 5 mins discussing the different characters and movies. He did inform "Santa" that Boba was a bad guy but did not deserve to be eaten.
After his made we exchanged a Merry Christmas then we both exchanged "May the Force be with You".
His parents got a HUGE kick out of their sons visit to Santa.

That's awesome  Doesn't it blow your mind a little (it does me) that someone that young (and there are more than we think) that love the "original trilogy" movies?

It is testament, that the OT is beyond classic status. To me, "classic" doesn't necessarily mean "interesting in the least" to someone that age. I mean, 2001 A Space Odyssey (just an example that popped into my head) was a "classic" when I was that age, and I could care less about it. My point is, when we were that age, anything over 5 years old was just boring, and perhaps even a little depressing.

Now, we have children, looking at a 30 year old series movies, with stars in there eyes. It's truly amazing. "GL" just had no idea how these movies would impact history.

Great story man !

Well tonight Lightsabers were the hit on the "ask Santa List".I must have had about 10 ask for them.
I had a famliy of 5 boys ages between 5 and 7 ask for Lightsabers ,along withthe Transformer SW figures,to duel with.
I also had a young boy(about 7) asked for a green lightsaber. His eyes got huge when "Santa" knew that Yoda had a green saber. He then spoke up with a smile to declare that so did Luke Skywalker, his favorite character.
