Hi

New Hunter
I'm new. I have done costuming as a family activity for years. Planning group costumes for my wife and kids and I mostly for Halloween. I was also the stay at home dad for 13 years. My wife is a nurse and I'm a classicaly trained vocalist. The math just worked. I started having severe deoression with mild anxiety a few years back and after a serious event related to it the Anxiety has been amplified. I went back to college to finish my Bachelor's degree and like to costume when my anxiety gets overwhelming. That's what brought me here. I have read through some of the threads for a few months now and thought I would reguster and say hi. My current projects are, Mirta Gev, Updates and repairs to my Obi Wan costume, Assisting my 15 year-old with his first try at costuming with a first order stormtrooper. Some homemade lightsabers my other two boys are working on and need assistance with. Then Boba Fett. Going to college is enough anxiety for me to handlehandle so I am not trying for 501st membership or anything. I just need to reset my brain for one last year of my Degree. I usually do things that I can scratch build. Here's partial progress on my wife's Mirta Gev. I don't know how to embed pic so here's the link.

Welcome! I'm not sure building a Boba Fett costume would qualify as stress-relieving for most of us but if it works for you, great! A good way to participate when you get started is to start a thread and put all your posts in it so they're in one place and other members can follow your progress.

Good luck!

Welcome and yeah, scratch building stuff is fun, and can be therapeutic. Good luck on your degree and your build. I started my first Fett while in college. (Didn't finish!) Got my degree done though!
