food qestion

If you like chili, but have ulcers I found a way you can eat it without getting heartburn.
-brown 1 lb hb meat in a pan (leaner the better) and lightly sprinkle in some cajun seasoning.
-in a large pot (or crock pot) add:
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste (when empty, fill with water and add to mix)
4-6 drops green tobasco
1/4 tsp basil or oregano
cajun seasoning to taste (i use about 2 tbsp)

When HB meat is browned completely, add to contents in pot and allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes before serving. Makes 4-6 bowls, and wont hurt your bowels. This recipe has placed in every chii cookoff I have entered it in since 2005. I came across the recipe by accident trying to find something for my wife to eat that wouldn't hurt her stomach and I added cajun seasoning instead of chili powder, thought it was ruined until we tried it & now the rest is history.

really? i guess that's how i used to feel when the sniffer would respond to my threads.

it's a bit harder for the sniffer to do that with a deactivated account. :(

Why did the board censor O-M-G?

that particular censor, if i recall right, is due to the religious sensitivity around the expression.

regarding the chili... i try very, very hard not to ever eat any canned/processed/packaged type foods. we generally make everything from scratch (right down to homemade bread). what we can't make ourselves due to time we get organic/local farm made.
