Hi there,

The software upgrade sounds like it'll add more features and stability to your platform. That's never an easy feat. All the best of luck mate.

Regarding the name change, I suppose it's important to understand your primary drivers behind that (proposed?) change. Is it merely change for the sake of change (which is never a good thing) or has this forum become so much more than what you anticipated it to be? Will the name change better represent your future plans for the site? One could understand the name change, which implies this site focuses only on one character (albeit an awesome dude) of the SW universe, if you see this site evolving (or perhaps it already has evolved to that point) into an all encompassing SW bounty hunter site.

I don't know why is this need to put all these sites/forums in the same template, why the need to reduce the personality of a well working thing. The same attempt was tried with the renaming of the Cargo Hold which was not a good move. I'm not against the update/upgrade of the forum, but the name change would be a mistake. We want to be brothers and sister as part of the family and not clones for the big army. While some twins wear the same clothes, there are many who dresses differently, thus reflecting their unique personality. Why fix it when it ain't broken?

DNS pointing to new IP, but the domain name of tdh remains the same. Or, do you need to save a few $$ per year on domain name registration?
Just transfer the domain name to the new place so that the tdh.com is redirected to the new hosting/files/etc ... maybe it's not that simple.

The Slave I becomes the Slave II.

I have Sheldonism, ,and because of this will not go well with me! this is like changing what food we eat on a certain night, and you know how it goes on, please let it not be so! I am already getting alzeimers just with the changes that keep on happening.:confused

Changing the layout and software would be an improvement. Having the name change would be very disappointing.

Art has my faith that any change will be for the better, this site has only gotten better over the years and all the fresh looks have been well done. TDH is ingrained in my helmet but if there's something better and maybe less exclusive to knowing such an obscure fact (the norms) maybe it could work. This site has a bright future with the Fett movie coming.

I've been out of the loop for a couple of rough personal years but I'm looking forward to getting back involved and meet the new experts and reconnect with the old ones. So Hi everyone!

Can't say I'm completely software savvy, but the site as it is seems to function well. However, there may be way more specifics which make it easier for the future, so that really doesn't bother me and I'm all for better efficiency.

I've got to be honest though - the idea of a name change disappoints the heck outta me. We have one of the best names for a site on the entire web, to change it seems absurd :cry I kinda thought The Hunters Lair sounded better than The Predatorium too, but to each his own.. Forgive me if this comes across as negative, just putting opinions out there..
