Completed it dude! My cardboard cut out will have to suffice until I get my build started/completed! Hope you like it man, thanks for the thread and the messages dude, helped out big time!
 
This is just awesome. You sure made this display into a work of art. Very nice. How much heat does the lights give off on the carpet? Would you recommend an LED source or would they be too in your face bold? Great job man!!!!!
 
Great idea, my neighbors have a cnc wood router, gonna make them pay me back for all the welding I have done for their sign business with one of these. I usually only take home made echalattas as payment, this is even better.

Thanks man. The fluorescent bulbs I used don't get very hot but LEDs would probably work great. The trick is just getting it to diffuse properly.

Never got around to adding a smoke machine, but that would be pretty sweet too.
 
Hey guys. Great thread.

What type of acetate did you use? I'm building my box now and thought it might be ideal to have something thick enough that it stays in place. Maybe .118" or slightly less than 1/8" thick?

I always assumed acetate was flimsy?
