so what does everyone think about BSG. Do you think Starbuck really is a cylon? what about the other 4? they pretty much say they are, but i have my doubts that Sol Tiegh is. what do you guys and gals think? anything BSG can be discussed here

At first I had been pulling for Ellen Tigh to be "something", but now that its been brought up, and Caprica has been green lighted, I'm going to go with Joseph Adama. It would realy make the Caprica series "pop" with the main character being a Cylon if you ask me.

P.S. - PM sent to ya. :)

Read a spoiler from Sci_Fi. Luara Roslin will be the Cylon, she doesn't know it yet.

Just kidding, but that WOULD be interesting.

I don't think Star Buck or Baltar are a Cylon's.

Well im gonna bail up Mark Shepard (Baltar's Lawyer Romo Lampkin) at a convention coming up and 'convince' him to tell me... then ill sit here very smug and let you all keep guessing :D

Unless you pm me nicely... :D

Well, heres something that kinda.... bothers me about the 'remaining 5' thing.

So, theres been a war. like 90 something percent of the population was killed.

In that population, there are 5 hidden cylons, that are 'unique' meaning not a million copies. They dont get downloaded when they die, so they are mortal.

That being said, wouldnt you think one or two of them woul dhave been killed pre-now.

They are all conveniently alive. I donno, just gives me a wierd shrug. Dont get me wrong I love the show, but im not a fan of wierd jumps of logic.

I love the show, I own all the seasons. Im a big fan of the drama, and I like where most of the show has gone. Starbuck is my favorite character, and had she been cast as the bionic woman, that show would still be on TV. Im a huge fan.

Im still confused on the battlestar universe. I dont know whats supposed to be involved. If its our universe, or one where miracles and super powers are abundant.

Starbuck is kick arse!

I do agree the BSG universe is different. But that is what makes it a great show. Cause you don't know how things are going to be or react in this universe. Regarding the final five. We don't know to much about them or why. Not even the skin jobs are suppose to know who they are. Why is that? That is what keeps people watching every week. This show will not disappoint. Great story telling and acting. I seriously went into watching this kicking and screaming. Best thing my boyfriend has ever introduced me to. :cheers

I never really thought of it that way! Plus the Galatica was getting ready to be decommissioned before the war started. Why would they be all on that ship? common wisdom would say that you would want your precious secret cylons out of harms way! UNLESS... the writers had know idea where this story was going and made it up as they went along.... case in point---- obiwan to luke: "your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough, but your uncle wouldn't allow it" did I miss something?? when did anakin say obi-wan give my unborn son that your not suppossed to know about my lightsaber when he grows up... lol
yes I know every word by heart , im such a nerd :)

"something something something..........dark side!" something something something.......complete!" now that is some good writing!!

I'm voting Gaeta for Cylon #5 myself.

As far as the coincidence of all 5 living through the war... well, the show has a pretty serious religious / destiny type strain through it, so I think that them having a greater purpose makes sense within the existing story framework.

Thats what I mean about 'the rules of the universe. Are there psychics? Mystical healers? Midichlorians? Is it destiny or luck.

Im not saying its bad, I just havent figured out if the universe is like ours (which is also a point of beliefs, I dont believe in much of the supernatural:) or is it more fantasy.

Thats the only part of the show I cant get my hand around.

Like. Did baltar heal the child, or was it a coincidence? We could argue both sides of that all day. The fact we can argue both sides is what makes em confused about the 'rules of the universe'.

Does that make _any_ sense?

It just sucks this is the last season.

I'm fairly certain the writers didn't write the F5 up untill the start of S3, so no, they realy had no idea what they where doing, aside from "find earth". :/

I had seen the oil painting of Starbuck over at TCF, he did an excellent job! :cheers

My newest theory involving The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Horsemen_of_the_Apocalypse

Pestilence (white horse) Roslin
War: (red horse) Admiral Adama
Famine: (black horse) Lee Adama??(not sure on this part of the theory)
Death: (pale horse) Starbuck (declared as the "harbinger of death" by the old man hybrid during the episode Razor.
If you track each character's personality back to a horseman there are so many very strong resemblances that I can't help but think this is what might be going on.
12 Cylon models-12 apostles
If you mumble the word "Giuas" it sounds a lot like the word "Jesus."
