Anyone have a "Working" rocketpack!

Does anyone have a Co2 setup in their rocket pack... i can't seem to find the thread that had a pic of a set up.

if anyone can post pm me the link!

thx

I followed Gator Fett's instructions except for

1) need to use a flexible hose to get it through the "jets" on my Ruffkin
2) went with a push button instead of a toggle on the gauntlet

The garrison seems to like it and I love it. Makes me laugh every time I hit the button.

Just so you are aware, the pressure for the CO2 paintball is 800 psi - per the local paintball store. I have access to lots of valves/equipment but the valve Gator mentions is the only one I saw (stopped checking after a while) that could handle 800 and run on dc voltage. It was on backorder in Jan but arrived within 3 weeks.

Doh! yes i did.. for some reason i thought you were a new poster adding to the thread...:cheers

So, i have to be aware if the valve/solenoid, can handle the pressure of the C02 tank?

There is a bigger concern in my opinion. The tank and setup will add weight to the jet pack. Will your harness and, more importantly, your back be able to handle the weight?

Gee Andy, you never fall asleep at dinners do you? Thanks to Jimmy BufFett for the poses.

Definitely be careful when working with high pressure tanks. Check everything twice!

Yes i think i can handle the weight, i will most likely have a quick disconnect, for the set up so if i get tired i can always store it away.

plus i'll get/make/find a harness, that will help properly support my back.

Speaking of "working" jet packs.. anyone knows if there are any scientists out there, trying to create actual jet packs? If so, I'd like to donate to that wonderful cause! :)
