Anyone have contact details for Rimshot?

Great news! I'll be about an hour south of him Saturday if things fall through let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

Many thanks for the offer.
Unfortunately Ernie is busy on Saturday, but he lives not far from Rimshot, so I'm hoping we can sort something out for next week.

Latest conversation:

Andrew Robinson: HI Mark, Im not really sure what my schedule is for Monday or Tuesday yet. I will let you know as soon as I know.

nobbynobby40: Please le me or Ernie know ASAP. Then we can get this business concluded. Many people have mentioned to me that I should get either the police or the IRS involved and I really do not want to go that far. Let's get this business sorted.

Andrew Robinson: If you give me his address I can mail the items to him. It will only cost 6 or 7 dollars to ship the package to him, and it would be easier than trying to schedule a time to meet him.

nobbynobby40: He lives not far from you, so it will be far easier just to meet him. It will also cost you absolutely nothing. Please just give him a call to arrange a meeting.

Andrew Robinson: My schedule is pretty crazy between now and Christmas. It would really be much easier for me to just drop the box off at the post office and have it sent to him. Makes it easier for both him and I.

nobbynobby40: surely it makes financial sense just to hand my stuff over in person?
nobbynobby40: you hve told me you're out of work. so what is the problem with meeting him?
nobbynobby40: it's only just down the road

Andrew Robinson: Like I said, my schedule is pretty busy the next couple weeks. Instead of having to try to arrange a time, especially when I dont know exactly when I will be free, it would be easier for me to mail the package

nobbynobby40: OK then, I'll have Ernie get the police, FBI and IRS involved then shall I?
nobbynobby40: I'm sure your parents will love that

Andrew Robinson: Why would you do that when I am trying to take care of this the easiest way? I suggested this Saturday, which would have been the best time for me, but he isnt available. When he is available Im not sure I am, so I am saying I will send it to him. That way he doesnt have to make a special trip, I dont have to make plans to meet him and then have something come up to where I cant. It is the simplest solution
Andrew Robinson: I will be able to mail it out Saturday, so he will have it either Monday or Tuesday, which is when he was free to meet me anyway, so it would be just as quick

nobbynobby40: No, the simplest solution is to meet Ernie on Monday or Tuesday at your convenience. Then it's done and dusted.

Andrew Robinson: If I mail it out Saturday, he will have it Monday, Tuesday at the latest, and can forward it on to you

nobbynobby40: what is your problem? why are you not prepared to meet him?
nobbynobby40: Fine, I'll ask him for his address and you can mail my stuff 100yards dowm the road.
nobbynobby40: I'm sick and tired of this

Andrew Robinson: I just prefer not to meet strangers for dealings like that. Also, if I mail it to him, then there is a paper trail on my end to prove the items were sent. I hadnt thought of it before, but was advised to do it that way.

nobbynobby40: Fine. I'll get Ernie's address and you can send it to him. If there is anything missing then i'll get the authorities involved and I'll be on the phone to your parents night and day.

Andrew Robinson: There wont be anything missing. Just to let you know, the light board that goes in the rangefinder will have a piece of paper between the contact and the batteries so they dont activate and drain down while in transit. You will need to remove the paper, and then put them in the rangefinder once you get them. The rangefinder lower half is magnetically attached, and pulls out of the upper half

nobbynobby40: so what are the 'extras' that you were going to include?

Andrew Robinson: I have a vaccuformed knees kit that I was planning to include, along with a decal or two, and maybe a few other things I run across that I think you might like

nobbynobby40: like what?
nobbynobby40: bear in mind that I am copying this conversation to use in any federal case

Andrew Robinson: I havent decided yet, I will have a look through my box of spare things and include anything you might get use out of

nobbynobby40: OK, I'll send Ernie's address when I have it

Andrew Robinson: Ok. The package will go out Saturday morning, and I will send you the tracking number

piece of work. i'm sure he's getting many threats of or actual police investigations going these days. so, i can't really blame him for wanting to create a paper trail for c.y.a. but seriously... any chance he'll mail it at his own expense? i mean seriously, if i were you i wouldnt be willing to put another single penny in this guy's hands.. even if it ended up cutting off my own nose to spite my face.

This guy sux @ss!! I got my stuff, but....He told me 2-3 weeks after several went by with no PM's sent back, no emails. I filed a Paypal claim with just 1 day left to be able to do it. He got all p1ssed cause PP took money from him and back to me. i told him I will drop the claim as soon as I see a tracking number and it shows it has been sent.

This guy is a plug, the only reason he did not want to meet your friend is cause he thought your friend was going to stomp a hole in his arse. People like him suck, hope he has fun in Mommys basement. This guy seems kinda like Norman Bates

he is out of work? wonder what makes him so busy? or what was it, crazy busy...??? interesting...i am a teacher, work 50 hrs plus a week, have a 5 year old, i am a home owner, and can still find time to drop off a package...lame excuse...(n)

I'd be worried he'll "ship" the items and claim the Post Office lost it or something. If he plans on shipping something through the post office of the size and weight of the things you are talking about it will cost more than 6 or 7 dollars with "a paper trail" meaning delivery confirmation or certified or other form of tracking information, a regular sized envelope sent certified is almost 6 dollars! Tell him he ships it with some sort of tracking number or deals off and you get the authorities involved. If he doesn't have a tracking number than he can claim anything he wants.

What I find absolutly amazing is I literly live 15 minutes from the town he is in. I gave my phone # to Nobby to give to him. Just wanted him to call and say, Hey i have 20 minutes, can you meet me at McDonalds down the road to pick up this stuff. Hop in the car, drive there, get it, done. Just drives me nuts. Nobby, if I get it by Thursday, will try to get the qoute for you on Friday and hopefully get it shipped out on Friday. At this point I am just about willing to just send the dang thing on Friday and then tell you what the total is. I feel bad it has taken so long.
What I think would be funny is if I show up in uniform at his mom and dads house what effect THAT would have. Should also see about bringing a state trooper thats in the garrisan with me:)
Ernie

Yeah, Ernie. I'd have given money to see the look on his face!

But Ernie, please don't ship to me until I've sent you the money. I don't want anybody else out of pocket over this.

Rimshot is still currently trying to sell his Proton Pack on eBay (it's on my watch list) and when he eventually sells it I will be pursuing him for reimbursement. He's not getting out of things this lightly.

I've still got his phone number and me being across the pond, I can make things quite uncomfortable for him with repeated calls asking where my money is :)
