Well I have been checking things out here for a little while and have been assebling the components for a ROTJ Fett costume. I have never attempted anything like this before, and have absolutely no experience with doing any of this. Thanks so much to this community for sharing their extensive experience...especially Fettdad...without him I would know nothing....My first project has been the Jetpack, which I got from MOW on the suggestion of Fettdad...Fettdad also pointed me to Slave1pilot for painting...which I was unable to aford due to the fact that I started with nothing...but Slave1Pilot was kind enough to share his rattlecan tutorial with me.. which I did my best to follow...Thanks Brother!! I am almost done as you can see from the photo... and I am wondering what everyone thinks...I still have to remove the frisket and weather the pack, as well as paint the black stripes at the top of the cylinders and apply the decals...Thanks Lucksy...It certainly is not anywhere as good as some of the things I have seen, but I am hoping that it at least does not look rediculous..Please let me know what you think... Thanks in advance for checking it out!!

I have finally started my MOW ROTJ as well and if it turns out anywhere near as nice as yours I'll be very pleased. Great work I think! How do you think you'll do the weathering?
Thanks for sharing. (y)

Thanks for the kind words guys...huge confidence booster!! Daric....I think I am going to use a combination of sponging and misting a black acrylic wash on it....also I am going to use a a little flat brown spray paint to simulate the "fresh dirt"....My wife is pretty crafty, so she's going to help with that stage.....She did a lot to help me taping off the various areas of the Jet pack so I could paint the different colors...She is a lot more detail oriented than I am and has tons more patience than I do....Best of luck as you start..Keep us posted on your progress

Here's another pic of my latest progress....Weathering, done by my wife and I (first attempt)and decals added from Lucksy31. The decals are perfect...Super easy to work with, and perfectly accurate!! I think the aluminum beacon and stabilizer from Serenity are a necessary accessory to any Jet pack...He is an amazing craftsman!!
