WIP Female Boba Fett for Celebration 6- Now with paint progress pics from Spideyfett!

Star Wars Chick

Sr Hunter
Hey TDH! Long time no see! It's been forever since I've been doing anything Fett related but with C6 coming around I decided it was time. This is a project I've been wanting to do since Feb '09. I started sculpting chest pieces in Sept '09 with the plan to have it for C5 and...well...that never happened. I decided after I saw Jeff Parks wife at Comic Con '10 (I believe) beat me to the punch on this version, that I was going to get this done for C6. It's not quite done yet but it is very very close and the final reveal will be at Celebration but I figured I would show off a lot of the hard work that has gone into this and share with you some of the great people who have helped. I based it on the statue but tried to make it more accurate to the ROTJ. I realize not all the parts and pieces are correct for this but trying to go for an overall look and feel.

All of the armor, except the gauntlets and knees, were created by me. The breast plates I custom sculpted and had vacuformed by FP, the other chest pieces I designed in photoshop, the shoulders, collar, and backplate and cod I based off of Wizard of Flights small templates, scaled down, modified to fit my suit, cut out of sintra, then had vacuformed locally(except the backplate which I left sintra). Knees are from RKD and gaunts are child/female sized gauntlets from Cruzer.

Soft parts- jumpsuit, vest, gloves, neck, pouches by Crazy4bobafett. Boots I bought and toe spikes I got from TxFett, along with the pouches and braids (he can tell you who made them). The cape I got from Art Andrews. 2 of the guns are from Art Andrews and I will also be borrowing a Webley from TxFett. Yes, I'm going to have lots and lots of guns. No jetpack, no helmet. Could have had my choice of helmets from Art Andrews but decided to go without LOL.I don't like the look of fem armor with a full sized helmet, as I tend to look like a bobble head and I did the same with my sand trooper- no helmet. I really like that look so decided I would do the same for this.

Spideyfett is painting all the armor and adding the dents to it for me. That's where all my armor is right now. It's going to be a pretty last minute assembly on this one and I can't wait to see it all together! Ok, on with the onslaught of photos!

Nah, Boba is more than the helmet! Not to mention, I'm only 5'2". Hard to pull it off without it looking really big with the rest of my suit made to make me look petite. I was able to pull it off with my Jango due to the bulk of the suit. Art really thinks it will look a lot better without the helmet. Besides, it will mess up my hair and makeup LOL!

I think you'll be able to pull the "bucket-less" look just fine! Boba is so iconic... Progress is looking great, I'm super excited to see the outcome! I think a jetpack would really add to the look, but only if there was an accurate pack scaled down to petite female size...

Love love love the flight suit! It looks great and fits you perfect! I don't think I'm going to do a vest for my first one. I was scared it would look bulky but yours doesnt at all. I also am not sure how the makeup with the helmet is gonna work! I will probably look so bad by the end of the day I will have to leave the helmet on haha!

Yeah, jet pack would be cute but I knew that would not happen in time for C6 so I never planned for it. But I may do one once that is available ;)

Thanks Katzy- yeah, did that with Jango and it melts pretty good and my hair is a mess LOL.

LOL... Looking at these photos and comparing them to the statue just made me realize how insanely out of proportion the statue is. If you look, the breasts on the statue are at the collar bone and there is no crotch to the statues pants... it is just two legs and then the ammo belt... And we wonder why our women have self-image issues!

SWC could you do makeup to emulate the helmet paint scheme, or maybe a Headpiece/band/tiara style thingumy perhaps with targeting sight arm?

I like this idea. It could look very cool if done properly.

Suit is looking great so far... I cant' wait to see the final pics:)

I think the non-helmet approach works well. *Anyone* at Celebration who doesn't get it, is clearly in the wrong place. :) Looking forward to the final build!

Funny you should mention the headpiece/band idea. I actually was talking to a friend at Comic Con about that very idea, doing some kind of headset to go with this and seeing if he could design something for me. I am not sure I'll be able to make it happen in time but if not, I do want to add something like this as I think it will add something to the suit.

Yeah, that could work. I was thinking something Jango like but that would be an idea too! I wish I had thought of this much earlier so I could get it done for C6!

Wow!
Great work! I really hope I get mine together in time. Its super last min and many pieces I will be upgrading. Like my suit. Its just too dark for me. I'd love to talk with you about your build if you have time at C6.
You are gonna blow this Costume away! AWESOME!
