WIP: ESB Fett build

I'm baaaack! And with a more drastic leap of progress this time. Still gotta paint the earcaps and put on the rangefinder and kill stripes. What do you guys think?

Just painted the kill stripes. I hope to have the helmet 100% finished today and have the gauntlets painted and functional. Gonna get the armour on the flak vest tomorrow hopefully. Nearing my deadline :wacko

Looking good. RE: making dents. If you hole the cigarette lighter to the back side of the armor, the charring will be on the back, thus less clean up needed.

Thanks!
I've really been scrambling to get what I can done before my deadline so I haven't really posted in a while.
I'm gonna try and post an update and the end of today.
Sorry guys!

This build is looking great! I'm sure you must be working at a whirlwind pace but if you get a chance would you mind sharing what material you're using for the armor? Is it sintra? And is that the same for the gauntlets? I'm starting an ESB build myself but haven't gotten past the helmet yet. Still building up courage to start the rest. Keep up the good work!

Alright so I didn't post the last couple of times I said I would, but I've really been scrambling. Here's what I've got so far and the list I made for the next few days. What do you guys think?

Thanks! It is overwhelming, but rewarding. And I'm sorry Swordman120, I didn't see your post until now. All of it is scratchbuilt from the WoF templates using 3mm Sintra, including the gauntlets. I boil a pot of water and place the pieces in it to heat them up, but lots of people use a heat gun.

Worked on a bunch of little things yesterday but my main progress was the flamethrower. I know it's too long but I'll fix it before I go for 501st approval in December.

Thanks for the reply, brother (I was formerly swordman.) I'm going to have to find some sintra somewhere and give this a try! Also, love the illustrations on your to do list. Haha

Sign stores use Sintra all the time. I would call any local stores to see if they have any extra scrap pieces they'd be willing to give you. That's what I did and got more than enough for all of my armor. I would also recommend getting a heat gun. Allows you to target specific spots to heat and shape.

Thanks for the tip! Actually had just called the sign store in town before I saw this. He doesn't keep sintra in stock but is getting me a price quote on a 4' x 8' piece. I'll have to check around for heat gun prices next.

Great job so far Mandalorian 2112...we must see the final result on you!!! I'm SOOOOOOOO jealous!!! Waiting to start my scratch build this 4 day weekend...I'll be laboring away on LaborDay...woooohoooo!!!

Good luck! I have to work until 6 today so as soon as I'm back I'll work until it's done :wacko. I just tried on what I can without help and it's looking pretty decent. Jetpack and harness are done it's really just little things left now but I'll have some people helping me tonight so that will help. It could be very late hen I finish and I'm heading up to Toronto really early so I might not get a chance to post again until after the weekend. And as soon as the weekend's over I start working on getting this up to 501st standards for December and start my custom mando.

Here it is! I know I still have lon way to go but before I keep working I want to know what you guys think. Anyone have any suggestions of where to start?
