TripleD's MOW Boots (Painting phase)

Ok so like many people on this board I recently purchased the MOW boots. Love them. They are great! Kudos to Man of War Studios! So I decided to start the thread on the painting/weathering of my boots. I am using SpideyFett's Weathering tutorial of CA Boots as a guide. Thanks Spidey!

Below is a picture of the boots after painting them charcoal and black. I just mixed white with black and then water. Painted it on all the boot. (Being carefull not to get it on the black pinstripes. Then I mixed black and water and put it down the middle. That is where we are at now. More later (in a couple of days)!

Yep. SpideyFett's thread was the cheap brand I think he said 99 cents each. I had a co-worker that had all the paints except the charcoal so I borrowed them from her (can't beat the price!)

Okey dokey. Put another coat of darker black/white and water mix. Makes them look more dirty. Next up the weathering! Good news is, not much is needed I think just some work on the soles and maybe a little sandpaper and purple'ish (is that even a word) on some of the boot. Misted the toe spikes with black and red tonight. Think those are ready to go. Question, do I need to seal those as well with dullcote or will they be fine?

Might just be the photos but those look pretty clean and monotone to me. Don't be afraid to dirty em up and lighten highlighted areas that would rub a lot. (It'll all in Spidey's writeup.)
