General A tip to snag a US Divers buckle cheaply..patience always pays off :)

So since i decided to build a ROTJ Fett to go along with my ESB i put a saved search into E-bay for the buckle again. Patience always pays off my friends. Since I had the search saved, i get notified every time one is listed. Most of the time they are wrong, but every now and then, they are correct. So last week i found another one...i paid $28 bucks including shipping for the buckle, belt and 4 weights. I can now go ahead and relist the weights for the price i paid for the whole belt and bam..free buckle :)

I did this for my last one and the belt actually had 2 of the buckles on it! I sold the weights for more than i paid for the belt and later ended up selling one of the buckles because i knew it would be a while before i started my ROTJ suit :)

Anywho my point is, if anyone needs one of these, save a search for em on e-bay, worldwide. Vintage US divers weight belt, and Vintage US diver buckle are good ones that usually yield results :)

All I had in the search field was "MPP". Sometimes, you have to go directly to the site of the country in which you are searching, execute the search on that site, and save the search on that site. Sometimes it saves and sometimes it converts it back over to just searching your own country's eBay. I lucked out in this case that the seller posted it for international sales, otherwise it may have been sitting there on the UK eBay site and I never would have known. But the saved searches do post results if the seller outside of your country does list the item for sale internationally.

It also helps to have the results emailed to you everyday. There is a sea of crap you'll have to wade through, but landing the MPP this one time made it all very very worth all the notifications everytime someone posts a front camera lens board! Haha

Here it is:

It's from an RAF kit, with markings on the clamp to boot! It is missing the name plate and clamp sleeve, and the shroud is a 2 step: sucks for an accurate Vader saber, but perfect for an ESB EE-3!
NICE! :D I have a search for the MPP in also but i never see them! What did you have in your search, maybe im searching wrong

Thanks lol I was the person that was ahead of you at the 9.99 and you snagged it last minute. I got a new phone that day so I couldn't wait till the final seconds to up the bid. I was pissed that I lost that , I don't feel as bad now knowing you were the one that got it.

Well, that being the case, thank you very much for passing on it. There won't be any correctly shrouded MPP's going on my EE-3, that much I can say.

The price is the price. Seen them go for more, seen them go for less but it's real and that's what counts. You've got angled sidebars on your clamp there brother, ala ESB/ROTJ so you'll be able to recoup some cost there to a lightsaber nut dude. There won't be a one step shroud going on my EE3 either.
