Special edition costume

Hi all,
Am I right in thinking the special edition costume is actually a mix of the ESB & ROTJ outfits ...or even a completly new look ? I'm currently making a costume and I prefer the ESB helmet, but favour the rest of the ROTJ costume....If the sepcial edition costume is a mix then I may yet get a "screen accurate" outfit after all :)

Yes and no........On the SE most of the parts are ROTJ but just swapping helmets is not really what happened. Also when you say SE the next question is ANH SE or ROTJ SE or Promo SE, each one is a bit different. If you check out the CRL on The Bounty Hunters Guild you will see what I mean. The guys at the BHG have worked hard to put it together and it is still not finished. But you can look through the thread to see all of the variance that occurs.

Just to point out some things that are different as you go between each.......the helmet, the ammo belt, flight suit color, shin tools, gauntlet hoses.....and much more.
 
^^^correct. For most SE costumes the standard items that stand out are:
14 pouch ammo belt
Hip pouches are different colors, one beige and one dingy greyish.
ESB lid with more damage detail.
Different Wookie braids.
Gauntlet hoses number
Jetpack is more beat up.
While this isn't a ton to go on, it's a good start. Look thru the gallery, as you're sure to find a passable SE up to your standards. And in the end, go with your gut. It's your Fett and you have to live with it!
 
Wow....so much more to it than I thought.....haha, my budget fett is gonna be expanding isn't it ? ...I guess I can just add details and extra's as I go along.

there are no official guidelines for the Boba Fett "SE" costume!

“The Magic of the Myth”
"The Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology"

Today, through the digital images we see rather details and is also dependent on the height difference!

"Ammo Belt"
Waist size in inches:
32-34 with 12-14 pouches.or 36-40 with 12-14 pouches.
both equally but the appearance (perception) is different!

I originally planned to make a 14 pouch ammo belt as per what we know about the SE but found with a 30" waist 12 pouches ends up looking like 14.
