Source for Kidney Plate?

So, it seems the set of armor I got ages and ages ago didn't come with a kidney plate. Until the far-off day that I can get a whole new set of armor, does anyone know of a source where I could just buy the kidney plate, without having to get it as part of a full set? Is RKD still selling armor? I see a lot of references to his work.

Side note - I'd prefer to get it pre-painted and weathered, but I'm willing to hack the paint job if needed (and I guess that'd give me a better chance of matching the color to the armor I have, huh?)

Thanks for any pointers!

Unless you find it in the cargo hold it will not be pre-painted. RKD had taken some time off, but hopefully will be back soon. If he's making armor again he typically will sell individual parts.PM him for more info_Or put up a WTB in the cargo hold so folks see you are looking for it. You may get lucky!

Don't you need a certain number of posts before you can post in the Cargo Hold? I thought I read that somewhere. Does anyone else besides RKD make and sell armor by the piece, or are the other armor makers just in the business of full sets?

the kidney plate is a simple piece, you COULD make one using Raf's template. Just get sheet plastic and cut it out. at least you would have something to use until you can find a formed piece :)

Yeah, I may do that if I can't get one pre-made. I just figured that, depending on how much I can actually buy a sheet of sinter for (most places I've looked into, you have to get it in bulk), it might not be much less cost-effective for me to buy the piece from someone like RKD.

I could make you one and paint it for you, but after shipping and the cost of the part and paint I think it would ha a lot more cost effective to try and make one. If your interested in thinking it would probably ring in at about $50 plus shipping. Possibly less depending on how long it takes me but most likely not. Also I would be a bit worried about matching paint exactly.
