Run interest for my Jet Pack Harness

Ok Guys
Sorry I haven't been back.
I messed up my sholder helping someone move (mr nice guy). I've been out of commission for a few weeks
Anyway, Everybody seemed pretty interested in my Harness.
I decided I will make them on an as ordered basis.
I have one made ready to go right now. I made two for two people that wanted them, one bought his the other lost his job and didn't want it, so it's up for sale.

I've seen posts that others are going to try to make them. Thats cool. Glad I may have inspired some of you.

I will say this. My harness took about four months of steady research, and 20 years of fabrication experience to achieve.
I use 2 differant types of welders,
2 differant types of metal shears (machine not hand)
One custom made (by me) metal jig for bending brackets the proper way(no company in the country would make the brackets, most said I was crazy)
2 diffeerant metal brakes (benders)
Tube bender
Heavy duty sewing macine.
2 diferant buffers
A die grinder
Hand grinders
And a host of other tools.

To get these right it takes a lot of metal working knowledge.
They are not easy. That is probably the reason the harness is the one piece not seen for sale, accurate that is.
This isn't something I just threw together.

I include EVERTHING in my kits. The accurate US Divers replica buckle, the accurate attachment clips. All the screws, washers, nuts, drill bits for the holes, instuctions with photo's and dimentions how to locate the clips. You don't have to run to the store for anything.
The guy who won the ebay auction said he used to be a costume marshall with his 501st group. He told me the harness was really, really nice. Way better than the pix on ebay. He said it was very accurate.

So, I'll start taking orders, first come first serve. Depending on how many orders I get, I will let you know about how long it will take to get yours out.
Price is $450 plus shipping
$250 deposit when ordered and $200 plus shipping when ready to ship.
PM me with orders so I don't loose anyone in the thread.
Thanks
Hope to talk soon

Sorry ment to attach them
I tried to give all the views from the ref CD.
Just a note. The pix are of the suit on my manequin, he's rigid so things don't sit like they would on us, and I didn't snug everything up.
The one of the bottom back, I lifted the vest out of the way for the pic. It usually hangs down about half way on the brecket like in the ref CD

I have one ... and I must say IT ROCKS!(y)(y)(y) Dragon, you did such an awesome job putting this together. If anybody has the funds available, I would strongly recommend you get one of these!

Dragon - I'll PM you tomorrow night with a few tips I've got for you after giving it a test drive at Dragon Con.;) (Sorry I can't PM you now ... I'm about to drive up to Chicago.)

How does the bottom of the pack connect? How ridgid is the back when it's on there? I'm not trying to be a stickler or anything but I dont want to spend 450 for something that just looks nice.

Jimmy, thanks for the pump. I was hoping you would chime in. I promissed to keep the secret, lol. Any feedback is welcome.Safe trip to chicago bro.

Zomb, I totally understand. I also do medievel re-enacting. I have bought armor and things that looked really great in pix but when I opened the box.................
I am not offended at all by questions like yours. It is one of those pieces that is on pricey side (like Jet Packs themselves). You want to make sure you are getting good quality.
I can only say this, I'm the type that would not put something out there, especially here (I respect you guys too much) that wasn't good stuff. Believe me, I critqued and reworked this till I thought I was going to drive my girl crazy. I had her looking a the ref CD and then my harness, back and forth. Then I would put it on, and have her take pix after pix after pix, so I could see every little thing as I moved.

The pack after attaching the bottom clips, sits (clips) on a metal bar/strip like in the ref CD. As for how it "feels". I think it's almost is like it's not there. I can bend over and pick things up, reach side to side. it doesn't move or "bind" on my back. Plus as an addition, my girl has made up a nice pad for it, so now it is REALLY comfortable.

I was able to help Jimmy to start the install on this set up. It is totally awesome! It is very well made and an extremely good design although its a repro it works!

Update
Weds AM, in stock sold. Pm me with orders. I am making one right now to have ready, may make another just in case. Don't want people to have to wait.
Thanks
D
