RotJ Vest Color

Me Again,

Im trying to figure out the correct color of the flak vest on the Return of the Jedi Boba costume. I've went to the 501st CRL & it says "Must have appearance of 'tackle twill' fabric and be light gray in color, weathered and quilted" But in all the pictures, toys, statues & builds I've seen it looks to be a lite beige color.
I looked at the Empire Version & it says the same exact thing as the Jedi version. Perhaps the Jedi CRL was just cut & paste from the Empire??? Just want some more experianced input.

Never go by toys and statues. A lot of the time they use creative license. The 501st CRL is based off of actual screen caps and lots of research. In the ROTJ case, the suit on display on the museum tours is also a source . The correct color is light grey. the natural dirt/weathering, especially on the ROTJ suit, can also lead to it appearing to look beige, but it is light grey. The vest is believed to be the same vest in both ESB and ROTJ, as is the jumpsuit. It is just very faded from years of improper storage or some other factor in ROTJ.

I was at the fabric store picking up materials for Biker Scout suits & thought I would get my vest material too. I found a few lite beige/green that looked kinda gray when you placed it next to an actual gray fabric. But I will hunt for an actual gray material next trip.

No, not the same. The vest is a similar color which is what I think you were getting at, but you need different details on both the vest and jumpsuit for ESB and ROTJ

As for things being altered for ROTJ, yes existing suits were we believe. How many new items were made is still not totally clear.

yes i was getting at the color, and i totally forgot about the different details, so i stand corrected on it being the same vest, but i do think the color was the same, or very close, i know its not beige.
