ROTJ SE Upgrade Feedback

Hey all,

Been a long time since I've really done anything on TDH, as I have been working on some other Star Wars costumes and props. Recently completed a Commander Cody for my brother and am in the process of finishing an ESB Snowtrooper for myself and a ROTJ Biker Scout. Dabbled in lightsabers for a while as well an ended up with an awesome ROTJ Luke and ANH Obi.

Anyway, I wanted to post some recent pictures of my AOSW ROTJ SE Boba to get some gentle feedback from the community on what I can improve on my Boba. Off the top of my head, the bottom of the flak vest needs taken up probably an inch. I have also been considering starting fresh with a fiberglass helmet, as I have some qualms with my Asok one. The crotch/thigh area of my flightsuit is also bothersome to me (not sure about to others).

Anyway, please take a look at my pictures below and if you see anything that looks like it could stand an upgrade or an alteration. Thanks for your help and feedback. (The girth belt/ammo belt are noticeably messed up in this photoshoot)

This is an excellent Fett :)

Something does seem a bit off with the helmet, but I can't really put my finger on it. Proportions maybe?

I agree with you that your thighs look a bit off. Perhaps the pockets just need to be raised? Or just some tailoring in the fabric? In one picture it looks like the pockets are not the same height. Probably just the angle or how the fabric is bunched.

In your first image I think you can see the jetpack harness under the vest (armpit).

Honestly, it looks pretty slick, and nothing is really that noticeable. It's got a great paint job, and nice weathering.

I've never really been a fan of the helmet. I think it looks too narrow - doesn't have that wide ESB shape to it.

At one point I had the flightsuit tailored 2 times - I am thinking there may be more fabric on the outside of the leg than on the inside which kind of moves everything diagonally.

Thanks for the compliments - I appreciate them especially coming from someone with such a nice ROTJ Fett.

Thanks Matty!

It looks amazing!

Looks ace I am doing an SE fett my self, if you want pointers I have a few. The ammo belt has 12 pouches not 8, 4 of them were lifted right from the ESB fett and even have a couple of poppers on them, on the jet pack they painted the inner sections on the nozzles red (the cross bit) I also think the right gauntlet has just the one hose coming from the top section but the jury is out on that one,

these are the most obvious things that stick out for the SE fett, there are some other little things here and there but only a purist would moan about

Everything s pretty much been pointed out, ammo pouches on the belt, helmet shape, and thigh pouches. I recently adjusted my thigh pouches, raised them about 2 inches on mine. Also they look a bit large, reducing their overall size may help the aesthetic as well.

I appreciate the feedback. Has there been a change in opinion for the SE pouches that I haven't seen? I see on the BHG CRL (Sign In - The Bounty Hunters Guild) that it still shows 8, 12, or 14 pouches. Maybe I'll get in touch with Christian and get some more pouches.

Really nice work on this! Now get to work on that Millennium Falcon, lol !

Hey man! I've got it covered in the off white color, lights installed, all parts accounted for, but it is now on stand-by until I find panel paints I like. What a beast that thing is turning out to be. And it takes up SO MUCH SPACE - drives my girlfriend crazy in our apartment.

Im a stickler as you might know...soooo I think the red on the gaunts is too dark...it should be a lot redder...compare the red to the girthbelt of the SE Photos.

Id go a little darker on the boots...BUT make them faded looking in the black area...

What kind of helmet is it? I think you looking down hurts the look of the helmet in all the photos

Weather the gloves a little more.... in the white areas theyre too white

Armor paint wise looks great... Im digging the greens...the yellow on the shoulders though seems to be too orangish if you get my meaning

Blaster looks like it might need to be weathered....check out the pics in the ROTJ album theres a lot of close ups.

That's some quick observations I have

I've been waiting for you to post. :)

The gauntlets are the only thing I didn't paint myself and I can see where you are coming from. I commissioned them to MLS because I was busy painting everything else.

Good call on the boots and gloves.

The helmet is an Asok Budget.

I will see about everything else. Thanks Dom!

The budget is decently sized to be honest but shape wise...its got a lot to be desired. I think you might want to just try and angle your head a little up....see how it looks

Thanks again - I am looking down a lot apparently. If you had to recommend one helmet as a replacement, what would it be? I'm about 5'9". FPH?

The FPH2 is barely bigger then the MR based helmets... the Premium from Animefan is going to be the same size as the budget you have just a little more accurate.
