ROTJ blaster

Trying to get my stormrider blaster going. I've got some greeblies off ebay. I had to work on them to get them to this point. The black pipe is going to be the barrel. The gray rings are for the back or rear of the barrel. I couldn't find something to go over the barrel and under the two rings. I i'm trying to make a ring for inbetween both. This is my work shop. What a mess! Any ideas let me know. Thanks

From what i understand, they cut the barrell off (ouch) and then dremel it so a pice of pvc will go over it. (Or sand)

Without cutting off the barrel, the pvc is going to be too big and off dimensionally.

While this sounds hard, it shouldnt be too terrible. cut the barrell down to about 3 inches from the housing chamber. And then just wrap sand paper around it, and sand.

perhaps someone who has doen this before would like to chime in first.

I plan on cutting the barrel off. I need to cut some more pvc. I think I've got it though. More pics later.

This is where I'm at. I need to do some more sanding, glue the pieces and primer. This is after trimming, heating, bending, sanding. It's coming along.

Just some more pics. I cut off the barrel and sanded the inside out. I also sanded the outside of the new barrel. The black pvc is 1 1/2" and the grey is 2". The white plastic is left over from my trash can armor. I can't get the new pics up. I'll keep trying.

I added greeblies and a quick coat of black paint. Does anyone know where to get the t-track. I know someone sells some for 5 bucks a foot. I think I need about 8ft which is about 40 bucks. Thats a little high for my budget. Windshield wipers also work but which ones are the best? Chevys, fords,? LOL:lol:

Nice look so far. Did you cut the stock yourself, if so what type of wood did you use. And the revolver, what type is it? Keep it up man, look forward to seeing the final product.

When I scratch built my first oh so many years ago, I used to different sizes of the balsa wood strips that come pre-cut. I still had to cut the lenth and adjust and everything. I used one size for the standing part of the T and two smaller strips for each of the flat parts of the T. Once I superglued them on to the barrel, the glue acted as a sort of laminator and reenforced the balsa. I went through a lot of balsa and superglue, but I'm sure it didn't cost much.

Not nearly as accurate as what's available today, but for something to consider for the budget conscious.

It's been awhile but got somethings for the blaster. I got a powerline 4x15 scope off ebay for $5.98 shipped. I cut the scope mount to make the rings. Still need a cheap 4x20 scope for the end. Got the tracks from Fettdad. Thanks. Just need to make the blocks to mount the scope to. I made the little side wings I guess you would call them. I cut them out of a dvd case. I had to cut four pieces and glue two to get one wing. Here are some pics so far. Need to primer and paint. It's getting there.
